National Highway Authority of India currently is planning to build a citizen facing interface which can cater to all highway related needs of NH commuters. NHAI already has an Android mobile application called Sukhaad Yatra (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rsawh.nhia&hl=en_IN&gl=US) which needs to be upgraded and advanced further.

Citizens are invited to share their ideas on how the Sukhad Yatra app can be improved with additional features/ integrations to better service the needs of citizens. The end outcome is to improve the experience of NH commuters and build a robust medium of 2-way communication.

The tool will not be limited to but can cover the following areas:
● Informing users of construction and maintenance activities
● Allowing users to register complaints pertaining to the condition of the highway or highway activities such as toll (for eg. If wait times for a toll gate are too long or if FasTag is not working at a gate)
● Allow users to rate highways on various characteristics of the highway around their experience as a rider (on both negative and positive characteristics of experience, for example whether the NH offers a scenic route or view)
● Allow user to access emergency and first response services on the highway
● Allow users to access information on wayside amenities, petrol pumps, EV stations etc. Information about location of facilities along the route can be searched on Google Maps but this is hard to access for non smartphone users.
● Allow users to report traffic congestion, accidents, debris, toll-relates issues, request EV charging points etc to local command centres (Eg. Waze)
● The interface should be able to cater to user-needs of commuters with and without smartphones
● The interface should have a strong focus on UX, intuitive and centred around the day-to-day needs and experience of highway users.

The interface can also operate as a platform through which multiple existing private and public applications can link to such as NH’s toll free number, toll management system etc or travel related apps (MapMyIndia, Google Maps etc) which already have a high user-base. The platform should leverage strengths of existing IT applications and not reinvent where necessary.

The design should cater to all kinds of NH users such as:
● Commercial (trucking etc) who may or may not have a smartphone and a user design which caters to their needs
● Personal long-distance commuter which may not be as frequent but may have access to smartphones
● Local residents who live around the highways and use it more frequently than private long distance commuters

Submissions to this can be in the form of app mock-ups/ prototypes, presentations, concept notes on platform and other interfaces, list of desired features by commuters etc.

Tha last date of submission of ideas is 15th June 2022.

The most ignored and looked down with disrespect is the profession of a Driver
While the most underpaid are in Logistics sector. Not talking about senior management, who consumes big chunk of revenue, but the frontline team like Drivers, Dispatch executives, loading unloading, billing, packers etc. It is the most unorganised sector, may be there are Amazon, Flipkart, dhl et all, check the pay - it is equivalent to 100 day job scheme! Who will look in to it and get a control to make it a respectful profession.

रोड़ की दुर्घटनाओं में, हमारे देश में देखें के लोग एक बहुत ही छोटी सी बात के प्रति सजग नही है और उसके गंभीर दुष्परिणाम मिलते है, वो छोटी सी बात है के "मैन रोड़ वाहन को प्राथमिकता" । किसी T ज्वाइंट, चौराहे, या सर्कल पर जब कोई वाहन छोटी सड़क से होते हुए उसकी मैन रोड़ पर एंट्री करता है, तब लोगो को मैन रोड़ पर चल रहे वाहनों को पहले निकलने देना चाहिए, जब मैन रोड़ खाली हो जाए, तब उस पर प्रवेश करें। पर बड़ी विडंबना है के इतना सा बेसिक ज्ञान भी कभी नहीं दिया जाता , ना आरटीओ से ना समाज से(प्रथा ही नहीं है). अब जिन लोगो ने अपने सामने अचानक आने वाले बेवकूफों (उनको लगता है वो मैन रोड़ पर है, या चलती रोड़ पर तुरंत एंट्री नही की तो लोग कहेंगे गाड़ी चलाना नहीं आता क्या !) के कारण दुर्घटना झेली है, या बाल बाल बचे है, वो इस बात को अच्छे से समझेंगे के 1_2 मिनट का इंतजार करने की शिक्षा, समझ और आदत लोगो में होनी ही चाहिए, ताकि इस छोटे से काम से बड़े दुर्घटनाओं से सभी बच सकें.

सार्वजनिक परिवहन के साधनों (राज्य परिवहन विभाग, टेक्सी, आटो रिक्शा आदि) को टोल टैक्स से छूट दी जानी चाहिए। सार्वजनिक परिवहन सीधा आम जनता से जुड़ा हुआ रहता है।

From womb to the tomb we are directly and indirectly depend on land and the agriculture i.e. our primary sector.
There are a lots of government policies regarding the improvement of their livelihood and betterment of farm. Today it became the thought that go along with the technology but this is the era in which farming is done with the help of modern technologies which helped the farmers to aware from season and could protect their yields.
Thank you Mr. PM for a lots of policies such as PM-KISAN one of the most popular scheme.

State rules for motor vehicles differ, which is source for corruption by local police for vehicles entering from other state. Whenever a vehicle crosses a state, owner/driver should get a sms link for vehicle rules for the state he/she has entered, which the driver/owner can refer to (like FAQs listed). This shall help vehicle owners being informed and local police can’t take advantage of ignorance. For eg, rules regarding number plate, need for any specific marks or indication (Gujarat Police continues to con vehicles for missing yellow strip on headlights, whereas this rule is repealed long back). Technology can help better discipline and fight corruption

Nitin Gadkari’s announcement of speed for NAtional Highways are typical of “netas election promises” which in reality never happens. The speed limits he announces should be done after verifying and confirmation by implementing authorities particularly Police, since they run their own interpretations.
