In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

sir, it is my humble request to you that the swach bharat abhiyan which has been announced by you on the occasion of rashtriya pita Mahatma Gandhi should be much more practical by the common people. i would again like to say that doing acts by celebrities will not enhance again i am repeating will not enhance the theme of you programme because common people need basics. the common people are coming there to watch the faces of celebrities not for the original job which you want.

My suggestion is we have to make the courts all over India , digital we often hear cases of papers missing, which will never happen and we can find out the history of the case on a click ,even judge will be able to refer to the notes of a particular case as there are many cases around. We can take help from US/UK who follow this system .

Python, php and ruby can be used for the API and these are Open source tools, security wise very good to develop the applications. Linux Operating systems can be used for the Government sectors, because Linux is a Open source OS.

Highway road toll tax could be made online without any mess at booth. This can be done by synchronization of vehicle registration n particular bank n person who owns both. The whole money collection system could be undertaken by 1 bank. This will also help in 'jan dhan yohana'

As RBI has driven Central Banking System for Banks, which has helped in many ways, in the same way all the government departments must digitize all citizen touch points which will help reducing the pillar to post situation which is faced by citizens in all the government departments and will also help eradicate the corruption to a larger extent.

I think we can use digital process in police stations. we can setup a new call centre for logging complaints over phone. complaint then go to PS on a tv screen and also on PS in charge cell phn. they should have set time to call person and either close or open a FIR on that call online only. there response rate should be visible on screen and online. then call center person call them and ask for there confirmation on action taken. it will make things clear,fast and problem free for normal person

Continued...Sanctions or approvals to be bases system based.Every authority should have a unique ID.Reponsibility of Delayed work or non functioning can easily be fixed.Work status can be easily known by public.Also Reason of pending work can be known with a single click of buttton.It will also be easy for you to monitor the work of every individual under a ministry from ground to top level.Thanks sir

Dear Sir, When It Comes to administration,our country has really a very bad system of processing any request related to daily life things from Driving License to Industrial License.Physical files are moved from one hand to another with various baseless reasons as to why the process is pending.It takes a long time for a simple process to be done from our department in current senerio. I request you sir to make all these process Online and software based.Physical files to be replaced by E-files.
