Help us make Digital Locker better by providing your valuable feedback, comments and suggestions.

Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

Sir,I think that we shall link all Institue like CBSE,State Institute like Jharkhand Intercouncil,Bihar Inter council,all central and state universities,all industries e to digital India so that people can upload all thier documents direct to thier digital locker ID.

Digital locker is an excellent initiative. Some how we need to regulate that each one has only one locker so as to avoid duplicating identity. So as of now Adhaar is the the only unique document that most of the individuals hold with life time validity. I do face the issue in registering. But before getting into locker if we can get a digital signature for the users that would be widely useful and that can be used in authorization here as well. And the documents uploaded can also be signed.

i have full project about digital locker.it is best for all common people.it can used without internet and it can use all people and also most authentication.

Instead of citizens storing the documents in the locker, The concerned officials who provide the documents from now on provide a digitally signed soft copy of the requested document in the locker of the citizen based on his adhar number. Secondly digital locker was poorly marketed and people still dont know what to do with it, A clear idea for the same needs to be made available to general public

The DigiLocker platform has the following benefits: 1. Citizens can now access their digital documents anytime, anywhere and share it online. This is convenient and time saving. 2. It reduces the administrative overhead of Government departments by minimizing the use of paper. 3. DigiLocker makes it easier to validate the authenticity of documents as they are issued directly by the registered issuers.

This digital Locker should be used by schools as children carry loads of books on their delicate back. If schools store all the necessary Education components in the locker and use the same to educate children will be appreciated.

Tried to test Digital Locker to provide suggestions. But can't as I dont have Adhaar Card and it is mandatory for signing up. This is unfortunate and SC clearly states that we cannot make Adhaar card mandatory for getting government benefits. http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/aadhaar-not-mandatory-sc-reiterates/article6999924.ece Anyone can suggest any idea how to register without Adhaar? #DigitalLocker #DigitalIndia
