NDGF should ensure that all the important data like Aadhaar number and PAN number is not misused. Many steal or misuse these data whenever anyone provides these information while booking rooms in hotels or in any other private organisations. Likewise some miscreants collect these data in Xerox shops and sell it to Tele Marketing agencies. A double secured process should be there. If anyone tries to misuse these data to get duplicate SIM cards or misuse PAN number details who will be held responsible? There should be a clear information to the public on sharing these sensitive information in public places. In hotels they insist providing Aadhaar Card details. Likewise for KYC online shopping platforms like Amazon demand Aadhaar number and PAN number without any guarantee that the customers data is not misused. NDGF should guide when and where these sensitive data should be mandatorily produced. This is really concerning on the safety of the citizens important data.

A person accessing this data should have valid credentials provided by government authorities itself. Those credentials should be verified with AADHAR number.
The information seeker must provide valid reason for accessing some critical data.

All the servers containing this data should be based in India only.

If government is using citizen's personal data for any purpose then concerned citizen should be informed in advance.
In no case government should sell citizens data for commercial purpose.

Datasets are available to researchers and startups.
Why don't you keep it open in public domain? Every citizen of India should be able to access non personal data. That's how you can maintain transperancy in administration.

Mr. Prime Minister, No doubt the Digital India drive has made the life of common man easy in either Metros or cities or villages. At the same time cyber crime also has increased .Apart from Adar Card or passport all private players like banks, mobile network operators, on line booking facilitators also ask for various personal details including date of birth, Adar card No, PAN card no. Mobile nos. &!create their own data base and sell to needy criminals! My suggestion: All the private players should be barred from keeping the data base about their customers in their server .GoI need to create an exclusive server under their control for storing the private players customer data base. They may be allowed to add but must not be allowed to down load or delete. GoI to charge them for this service. we don’t know where from the criminals get the personal details as the source are many. Now If the personal data is shared it can be from one source and culprit can be nagged quickly
