As part of the 'Bharat Ki Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations, a series of events are being organized by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence.

Through this MyGov activity, we aim to revisit history and acknowledge our local heroes whose struggles during the Freedom Movement have not received prominence in the conventional storyline. Let's raise awareness about our freedom struggle & the unsung heroes associated with it. It’s time that the contributions of fighters like Veer Gundandhur, Velu Nachiyar, Bhikaji Cama, etc. see the light of the day.

This is your chance to tell the story that must be told and honour the freedom fighters who have played an important role in making our nation free.

Khudiram Bose was an Indian revolutionary from Bengal presidency who opposed British rule of India. He was born in a small village named Mohoboni situated in Medinipur district of Bengal. For his role in the Muzaffarpur conspiracy case, along with Prafulla Chaki, he was sentenced to death and subsequently executed, making him one of the youngest martyrs of Indian Independence movement. At the time of his hanging Khudiram was 18 years old .

He taken part in quit india movement in 1942 against british for freedom to india.He gone in prison.His brother sitaram ratiram wani was also freedom fighter.Atmaram wani work before 1947!

Gopal Chandra Mukhopadhyay, popularly known as Gopal Patha, was an Indian businessman known for raising Bharat Jatiya Bahini to protect the Hindu people from the Muslim League attacks during the infamous Direct Action Day in 1946. On the morning of 16 August, incidents of stabbing and rioting started in the city. Gopal heard of trouble while he was on his way to shop. He procured arms and stopped Hindus from getting slaughter, women raped and children killled.

He was living in 150 main rd raver dist jalgaon.He was 94 years old when expired.He was in Maharashtra state.Mr sitaram ratiram wani present in 1936 in faizpur congress when pandit nehru visited faizpur with his brother Atmaram ratiram Wani with bulkcart from raver .He cosed railway service of Punjab mail near waghod in 17 October 1942 for quit india movement against british. He was in prison in dhule ,Nashik and pune ,yerwada.with sane guruji.

Freedom fighters are even now remembered as they served the country sacrificing their lives. I would like to talk about Name - Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Born on - October 2 1869 Porbandar,Gujarat.
He was known for this 4 main philosophies : Ahimsa,Sathya Sarvodaya,Satyagraha. We used to call him Father of nation as he observed non violence as a powerful weapon to gain freedom from the Britisher's rule.
