Recognizing the universal appeal of Yoga, owing to its demonstrated benefits towards immunity building and stress relief, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on 11th December 2014. Since 2015, this day has been observed all over the world in ever-growing numbers, with the objective of reminding people across the globe about the benefits of Yoga, and to build enduring public interest in Yoga by highlighting its importance and contributions to the public health.

The preparations for the 7th International Day of Yoga (IDY 2021) have already begun and the Ministry of AYUSH (MoA) is looking forward to active participation from the people. The event will be observed in compliance with the COVID-19 guidelines of the government, with a greater focus on digital activities. In these tough times, all are encouraged to “Be with Yoga, Be at Home”

With this backdrop, MoA invites all citizens to share their ideas on how people can plan to observe the 7th IDY at home with their friends and families while mobilizing the wider community to maintain the ethos of Yoga and ensure community wellbeing. These ideas can be further utilized by the Ministry in conduction different programs dedicated to building the enduring public interest in Yoga by highlighting its importance and contributions to public health

The last date for submission of ideas is 31st May 2021.

Dear sir, yoga is beneficial to every member.benits of yoga is remembered to everyone but every small and big cites me ek yoga campus hona chaiye.jise log traing campus me jakar yoga bhi krege aur unemploy logo ko bhi ek rojgar ka avshar milega sath hi

Iske sath hi campus me other activities such as football , Cricket ki facilities bhi provides kra sakte hai and tainer bhi rakh sakte hai

Yoga means balancing and harmonizing the body,mind and emotions. It is a science which unites body with the mind. Yoga laid the foundation for healthy living are given. Yoga lays a great emphasis on asanaa ans pranayama to prevent illness. Yoga is a scientific form of physiotherapy. Asanas are the physical discipline or posture that exercise our entire body, stretch and tone the muscles and joints as well as the spine and the skeletal system. They have beneficial for internal organs.

Yoga is of Indian origin and now it is globalised all over the world so it should be compulsory for every citizen to do yoga.A feeling of nationalism should also bear in all citizens that such a system has originated in India which is useful for the whole world. All the citizen should do yoga by its virtue be fit and fine and then we can show other so called superior countries that the past,present and future of our country is superior in health to their countries' citizen.
