I have been a proud Indian expatriated for nearly 15 years now in different parts of the world, and the question of whether to give up my Indian passport for a country\u0027s which affords more travel freedom, residency benefits (such as an E.U. passport for the rest of Schengen) or ease-of-access to government resources in my host country has been one that keeps me up at night. My son lost his rights to called Indian, just because he was born in USA. Even if He is going back to India with me, and live all his child hood in India, he can never gain his rights to be called Indian, unless he quit his US citizenship(after 18). How would I teach him India\u0027s culture, religion, and history. Why would he learn? when he knows, he has no rights to be Indian.
