This Independence Day, let the spirit of freedom echo through your footsteps!

As part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2025, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across the country to participate in a unique and inspiring Reel Competition.

India’s road to freedom is etched in every corner of the nation — from grand forts and statues to quiet alleyways and hidden memorials that witnessed acts of extraordinary courage. This competition invites you to step into history, retrace the legacy of our freedom fighters, and bring these stories to life through a powerful reel.

Take a walk through history and tell the stories that shaped our nation. From iconic landmarks to lesser-known local monuments, every step counts in celebrating our journey to independence.

Participation Guidelines:
1. Participants need to record and submit a short video/reel depicting Monuments/Sites of historical importance in India's Independence, easily accessible to them.
2. The individual contribution (either self or others) is to be shown in the short video/reel.
3. The short video/reel must of 45-60 seconds.
4. The short video/reel may be uploaded on social media with a hashtag #NewIndia #EmpoweredIndia #IndependenceDay2025 for making it a viral trend.
5. The entries will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi & English.

Gratifications:
1. The top three short-listed winners will be awarded prize money of Rs. 10,000/- each.
2. Top 200 participants along with one companion (spouse/guardian/relative etc.) would be issued e-invitation to witness Independence Day Celebration to be held on 15th August, 2025 at Red Fort, Delhi.
