Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) programme aims to bring about equality and empower our girls by combating against deep rooted socio-cultural biases and gender discrimination over a life cycle continuum. The Scheme is running in its 6th year of its implementation on ground. During these periods, the States/UTs/Districts have undertaken several innovative initiatives to address the issue of declining Child Sex Ratio (CSR) and promote value of girl child. The collective and coordinated efforts undertaken at National, State and Districts level resulted in placing this issue in the public discourse.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme was launched on 22nd January. This campaign of the Government of India aims to generate awareness and improve the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls in India.

In the spirit of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, MyGov is organizing an online inspiring story-sharing contest.
The concept of this campaign is to promote the value of Girl Child by sharing stories about real life in the field of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The story having a long lasting impact and consequently led to a change in the mindset in the community at large need to be shared.
