The Surya Namaskar Video Contest, organized by the Ministry of Ayush in collaboration with MyGov under the #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav initiative, aimed to celebrate Makar Sankranti by encouraging widespread participation in practicing Surya Namaskar. The event, held on January 14, 2022, saw 75 lakh participants practicing Surya Namaskar, following covid appropriate behavior.

The National STOP Diarrhoea Campaign 2024 was launched on June 24, 2024, by Union Health Minister Shri J.P. Nadda, accompanied by Union Ministers of State Smt. Anupriya Patel and Shri Jadhav Patraprao Ganpatrao. The STOP Diarrhoea Campaign aims to achieve zero child deaths due to diarrhoea. This initiative includes a two-month drive featuring the distribution of 2 ORS packets and zinc as a co-packaging to children under five years old.

The Ministry of Jal Shakti and Namami Gange in collaboration with MyGov hosted a campaign “10 Measures to Clean the Ganga“, inviting participants to propose 10 effective measures to restore and clean the Ganga river, integral to India’s cultural and historical identity. The submissions focused on innovative strategies ranging from strict industrial regulations and sewage treatment advancements to community involvement and awareness campaigns. This activity was hosted from 22 July 2014 to 10 September 2014.

Ministry of Jal Shakti and Namami Gange, in collaboration with MyGov, hosted an initiative “Identify 10 Major Challenges & Change the Face of Ganga” to identify and prioritize the major challenges affecting the Ganga river, aiming to strategize effective solutions. This activity was hosted from 22 July 2014 to 10 September 2014. Participants were invited to list out these challenges in order of priority, focusing on critical issues such as pollution, industrial waste, sewage management, riverbank erosion, and sustainable development.

This initiative “Bringing all stakeholders together to clean Ganga” , hosted by Ministry of Jal Shakti and Namami Gange on the MyGov platform, aimed to solicit draft roadmaps from participants on how various stakeholders could collaborate to clean the Ganga river. This activity was hosted from 20 July 2014 to 10 September 2014. The task encouraged individuals to propose comprehensive strategies involving government agencies, local communities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to address the pollution challenges faced by the Ganga.

This initiative “Your Roadmap to Promote Tourism and Keep Ganga Clean“, hosted by Ministry of Jal Shakti and Namami Gange on the MyGov platform, sought ideas on balancing tourism development with the preservation of the natural ecosystem and cleanliness of the Ganga river. Participants were encouraged to propose strategies that promote sustainable tourism while ensuring environmental conservation and cleanliness along the Ganga, especially in Uttarakhand’s hilly areas.

The initiative “Redeveloping Varanasi Ghats, make a difference!” hosted by Ministry of Jal Shakti and Namami Gange on the MyGov platform, focused on revitalizing the historic ghats of Varanasi, a city renowned as the cultural heart of India. Participants were invited to propose ideas for the enhancement and preservation of Varanasi’s ghats along the Ganga river.

“Protect Ganga with Tough Norms to Control Industrial Pollution” hosted by Ministry of Jal Shakti and Namami Gange on the MyGov platform, the initiative aimed to combat industrial pollution affecting the Ganga river. Participants contributed ideas on implementing stringent measures to safeguard the river from contamination by nearby industrial units.
