As India marches towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, proudly presents the Independence Day Celebrations 2026. This year’s campaign is dedicated to celebrating the spirit of freedom while inspiring citizens especially the youth to contribute towards building a stronger, self-reliant, innovative, and future-ready India.
Rooted in the ideals of patriotism, constitutional values, women-led development, scientific progress, and technological excellence, the campaign invites citizens from across the nation to participate in a series of engaging and thought-provoking competitions. Through essays, paintings, and quizzes, participants will reflect on India’s extraordinary journey from Independence in 1947 to the aspirations of 2047.
