Ensuring access to higher education is critical to mobilising greater participation thereby increasing the Gross Enrolment Ratio. How can we address the issue of skewed access to ...
Addressing regional disparity should not mean that the higher standard is lowered but should mean enhancing of the lower standard. For example we cannot promote mass copying as in Bihar in other states while the high standards of Delhi or Karnataka needs to be emulated.
Govt should bring in the framework which makes it mandatory for colleges to have a student swap program for atleast 1 month a year in each zone, every year. Swap should only happen inter-regions. Four regions/zones must be created - East, West, North, South.
Syllabus upto higher secondary level must be made same throughout India. Preferably there should be one board through out the countrySanskrit to be taught compulsorily upto the secondary level through out the country.
THE MAJOR ISSUE IS NO ONE TAKES CARE OF THE STUDENTS DUE TO WHICH STUDENTS BECOMES FRUSTRATED THEREFORE CARE TO BE TAKEN.IT HAS ALSO BEEN OBSERVED THAT NO PROPER COUNCILLING IS DONE AND HUMAN BEHAVIOUR IS NEGLECTED AT ALL THE PLACES
MORE NUMBER OF COLLEGES ARE COMMING UP BUT NO ONE TAKES CARE OF THE REAL PROBLEM IN EDUCATION.AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION WHATEVER THE COMMITMENTS ARE MADE TO THE STUDENTS ARE IGNORED WHEN THE STUDENTS STARTS ATTENDING CLASSES AND NO PROPER MENTORING IS DONE FOR STUDENTS AND FACULTY BOTH.AS THE COLLEGES NEEDS MORE NUMBER OF FACULTY TO TAKE UP THE TASK BUT DUE TO SCARCITY OF FACULTY IT BECOMES DIFFICULT,THEREFORE MORE TRAINING CENTRES TO BE OPENED AND THE FACULTIES TO ALLOWED TO REFRESHTHEMSELF.
Education should teach how to live together , love all and respect people from all geographical regions. True education will liberate us from bonds of naoor thinking . We will then make world a better place to live in.
Education must groom children towards Physical, Mental and Social health. Yoga, excercises, meditation and community work should be part of the education system.
Education must teach human values and enable children to become better individuals, participating family members, responsible citizens, helpful community members and thoughful leaders.
They must also be provided vocational training, and life skills like cooking, cleaning, organizing, teamwork, cooperation, building and creativity.
The central institutions can play a valuable role in distance learning. Online courses, mentoring smaller institutions, Create better books, media, and run seminars to improve Quality of education across the country.
Quality problems in education need to be identified, analyzed(Root cause analysis), fixed, improved and prevented in the future.
This requires ISO 9000 principals and systems.
Quality can be improved by stringent quality, reviews, assessment and audits.
First of all there should be a single nationwide central board for education & not individual state education boards, so that there may not be difference in terms of quality of knowledge among the students of different states. Due to this Students from all over India will have a single platform for exploring their talent and skills. This will ensure that every student across the country shall have equal chance of getting better education regardless the state in which he resides.
CENTRAL UNIVERSITY IN ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS!!
The Government of India must expand its outreach and provide heightened access to higher education on a priority basis for its populations living in remotest Islands of the country. Regional imbalances in higher education sector will be a hindrance for India to become knowledge superpower in days to come. Establishment of Central University can play a major role in removing regional imbalances in academic life of the country.
