Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (http://digitallocker.gov.in) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

Residents are invited to use the Beta version of the Digital Locker System and provide suggestions and feedback on the same. Suggestions are also invited on the use cases for services which can be additionally provided by the Digital Locker System.

When govt. is promoting e-governance, then for every ministry in contact list there should be an email-ID for each department, Which is missing till date.

The govt. of India should issue guidelines to all state governments to provide seniority to contract employees who r properly selected through article 14 and 16 and seniority of post should always be maintained for such employees . regular employee on lower post should not be treated senior to such employees even after promotion if promotion is after the appointment of properly selected such employees on sanctioned post in govt. offices . contract employment due to finance

Due to contractual employment in govt. sector the employees selected through proper process which is correct and through test are the sufferer. Their seniority should be before regular employees on lower posts. Also the employees who are promoted from the lower post to higher post after the contractual employees who are selected through test and legal process then regular employee who is promoted after such employee should be junior to contract employee .

Modi Sir, The govt. should try to focus on the quality of manpower before any kind of quality around us. These days contract appointments are on the rise across India. Due to contract employment the properly selected candidates who are appointed under article 14 and 16 after following due process of govt. are not given status and salary . At least the status of such good appointments should be maintained by way of seniority before regular employees

Instead of creating many website for many services we can create a single website which will easy to remember and also can be maintained easily and also convinent to use by a common man instead of searching for different website

All government web portals e.g:http://digitallocker.gov.in and others must redirect to UIDAI single sign in/UIDAI federated single sign in where Aadhar Number and OTP are accepted, authenticated and redirected back to portal. Each and every web portal should not accept Aadhar Number and OTP themselves because,In this case, incase of a security breach in one govt portal, user authentication information is not available with that portal and other linked service portals remain unaffected.
