While the general participation rates in higher education has been steadily increasing and today our HE GER is 21.5%, this is not evenly spread across social groups and women. Equitable growth is essential to sustain higher GER rates and hence what kinds of affirmative action could be suggested to reduce gender and social disparities in here.

"Reservation" is a burning issue that not a single politician dares to touch it.Some people say there should be no reservation at all and only qualification should be taken into consideration. But i dont agree with them,"YOU CANT OVERLOOK THE UNJUSTICE DONE TO THEM FOR THOUSANT YEARS AND TAKE THEM OUT OF MENTAL BACKWARDNESS".
but is the current form ofreservation serving the purpose of the people who are backward? Is the speed which we are working on satisfactory? I dont think so,1/n

The success stories of girl children educated should be included in the curriculum. Their stories and how they are serving the nation and the people should be effectively presented. The way they had succeeded by overcoming the obstacles and could reach their goals. Books on the lives of such women from the ancient and to the modern times E.G., MAITRI,GARGEYI etc should published thru National Book Trust, Childrens Book Trust etc.. The parents should be educated thru mass media and Govt. Ads etc.

What about eunuch do we think of them at all??.If we talk about equality then we need to be equal in all the perspectives.
Government need to initiate plans for them as well and treat all equally.

In my view reservation system is just increasing the discrimination in the society.
when we come to college we don't know who is sc,st or OBC but when with time when we get to know this person got this much marks and got admission in such a premier institute then at that point discrimation starts. Now it is high time for gov. to change its policy and instead of giving reservation on the basis of caste, gov should give it to poors who can't afford good education.

BG v/s BG ■ SCHOOL LEAGUES ■ Class- 6th – 8th
THE GOAL: 21st century is one where people constantly fight for equality. The perfect goal would be to bridge the gap between the opposite sexes, and to cultivate a community of equality & collaboration. (brief note attached)

Social gap should be bridged through moral education taught by our ancestors.Gender difference need not be there but one should know ethical behaviour. Especially in high schools and colleges, looking at one side of the coin, students of different genders are resorting to unfair means, unable to control their physical desires. This cannot build a healthy society and allowing the students to be like that is not bridging the gender gap.

i agree with the people who says men and womens are equal in this generation.but does our culture agree with it????still some are there who did not agree with it.there should be some effective policy should be pass in parliament.major cause of education gap is RESERVATION. in this generation there no need of it.just because of RESERVATION system our nation is having educatuon gap.Government can give scholarships to people from different casts, but admission to a institute should be on merit.
