The State Transport Authority (STA), U.T., Chandigarh has initiated a citywide enforcement campaign against the illegal and pollution causing vehicles, especially diesel auto-rickshaws that had been plying in the city. This drive had been initiated in the entire city to take a firm step towards creating a pollution free environment in the city, keeping in mind the larger public health concerns of the residents.

As per the latest data submitted by the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC), there has been a significant decline in the various pollutants including SPM, RSPM, SO2, and NOx in various places of Chandigarh being monitored by CPCC over the past two weeks, ever since the drive was started by the State Transport Authority.

Meanwhile, to facilitate passenger movement, Chandigarh Administration is also strengthening its public transport system, by increasing the number & frequency of buses of the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) and also enhancing their routes.

In view of this recent anti-pollution campaign of the State Transport Authority, Chandigarh Administration hereby invites citizens of Chandigarh to tell us what is their opinion about the banning of illegal and pollution causing diesel auto-rickshaws in Chandigarh. Further, suggestions/ideas are invited from the residents to help us ensure that a clean and pollution free air is provided in the City Beautiful.

banning pollution causing diesel auto rickshaw will be not good idea, it will depprive employment to those who are engaged in it. such auto rickshaw may be modified into encroachment friendly.

सर बस इतनी सी गुज़ारिश है कि दॆश मॆ polythene bags कॆ इस्तॆमाल पर पूरी तरह सॆ रॊक लग जायॆ, स्वच्छ भारत अभियान कॆ लियॆ यॆ अत्यन्त आवश्यक है कि China सॆ आनॆ वाली polythene bags पर रॊक लगॆ| कई राज्यॊ अथवा शॆहरॊ नॆ इसॆ पूरी तरह सॆ अपनाया है मै चाहता हू कि सारा दॆश इसॆ अपनायॆ| #swacchabharat #mankibaat #air

hey, pm modi I am harshit arora a student of 9 class I want to give u a suggestion that I made a car in which their is no requirement of any fossile fuel this car decreases the pollution and it can be use as a local vehicle this smart car model will complete in one or two months so I want to meet with u with the smart car and some another ideas .#campaign against pollution.plz reply me sir I am waiting

use of diesel and petrol based vehicles should be minimized
more focus should be on cng vehicles.
sales of diesel engine based cars should be controlled. by imposing a ban on purchase of cars for some time
