How do you think we can further change our outlook and attitude towards the specially-abled? What efforts do we need to take in bringing them to the mainstream?

We can at least make the life easy for the differently abled by building ramps/lifts/other architectural changes in public places/transport. They will then not be dependant on others and thus lead a normal life.

Absence of feedback monitoring within the judicial setup on the decisions taken in the Chief Justices’ Conference, are not bringing the desired effect to the Weaker Sections of the society viz the Senior Citizens and others. This observation relies upon replies received under RTI from a High Court. It is suggested that periodically the suitability of the decisions taken in the Conference be assessed formally through a laid down system and publicized for the consumption of all.

Since there is no group on care for the elderly I had to join this group.
In West Bengal MamataB Govt has initiated a scheme called Pranam. The elderly who stays alone can register under the scheme. The police keep regular watch on the member. There are volunteers who come and enquire of the well being of the elderly. A small fee is charged, but the scheme is helpful. Why don't we initiate similar schemes for the elderly in Delhi? This will go a long way in serving the elderly here.

The attitude to respect differently-abled can be cultivated right from the childhood.
When the children hear their parents criticize and make fun of differently-abled person, in front of their kids, what will the imprint on their innocent minds?
I have seen such kids to be more repulsive towards differently-abled, who think them as some sort of freak.
It is the duty of the parents to teach their children to respect differently-abled people and to help them as need arises.

Most of the rivers and canals remaining clogged with silt deposits and weeds and hence affect the agricultural production and therefore needs to be cleared immediately. By doing so, the river water can flow and support irrigation and also would help in avoiding unnecessary floods that cause heavy damages in many parts of our country. Also, this would directly contribute to eliminate drought in many parts of our country and also increase agricultural productivity. Kindly take appropriate action.
