LPG is a dominant cooking fuel of urban population and also, steadily penetrating in rural areas replacing other traditional sources of fuel which included fire wood, cow dung, coal, etc.

There are nearly 17 crore LPG consumers in the country with average refill of 35 lakh cylinders per day. The reach of LPG connections as well as providing timely services to the consumers has always kept in pace with the technological innovations. Provision of timely services and attending the grievances of the consumers continues to be critical for consumers’ satisfaction.

Available Web as well as Mobile phone based applications are extensively used to enable the new customers to get LPG connections and the existing customers to avail services. The Ministry has been taking all measures to leverage the Digital India initiative to make it more consumers friendly.
Presently, following citizen friendly services are being offered for the prospective and existing LPG consumers.

•Book Cylinder through IVRS -– allows consumer to book refill through their registered mobile number.
•Track Refill – It’s both Web and App based facility which shows consumer last 3 booking & delivery date
•Know Your Distributor –Web based facility provides distributor name, address, contact no , Sales officers name & email id
•Talk to Us – connects to call centre managed round the clock.
•Request for 2nd cylinder – allows consumer with single cylinder connection to request for additional cylinder.
•Mechanic Service – allows consumer to register request for mechanic service.
•Surrender connection – allows consumer to register request for surrendering connection.
•Rate your distributor – allows consumer to rate distributor on 5 service parameters, which enables the consumer to ascertain the quality of services provided by the distributor.
•Bank Detail – allows consumer to update Bank details for becoming Cash Transfer Complaint to avail the subsidy under ‘PaHal’ scheme.
•Opt out of Subsidy – provides option to ‘GiveItUp’ of LPG subsidy.
•Feedback Status – allows consumer to check status of any feedback submitted earlier

Ministry further wants to bring new innovations/improvement in services provided with an aim to enhance ‘quality’ of the services provided and transparency in transactions. Therefore, suggestions/creative inputs are solicited from the all the stakeholders on improving the services using communication platforms.

Greetings! My suggestion is also add refilling amount, subsidy amount in SMS send after confirmation of online refilling request. Please also instruct all authorities and gas agencies to support the online booking and payment option use by consumers and delivery the cylinders without any reminders or complaints.

Latest- Govt. has passed a rule that all people should take "Adhar Card" numbers to get subsidized LPG cylinders. Previously court had ordered that since "Adhar Cards" are not made for all people of nation so these should not be made mandatory for any essential service. But court surprisingly agreed this time! Adhar card are not sent even after 1 month & no complaint system is there to get LPG by complaint no!! What to do?

Respected sir, Most of the villagers do not use LPG.We can create LPG offices at gram panchayat level for supplies and for any quieries by the villagers.This will in turn enhance employment.

Private sector entering #LPG bottling and retail with customer free to refill from wherever at will can address most of the complaints mentioned here. Compulsion of domestic buyer to take only 14 kg cylinder should be scrapped. Anybody should be able to buy 5, 14, or 19 kg cylinder for any use with domestic subsidies being disbursed on per kg basis for a fixed weight per year. Bigger cylinders for rural areas will make it more convenient by reducing the need for frequent visits to retailer.

All LPG customers must replace the old GREEN Rubber Tube with ORANGE colour "Suraksha" LPG Hose which is BIS approved bearing # IS-9573, which is patented and approved BY Lpg Equipment & Research Centre (LERC) Bangalore a joint venture Org of IOC, BPC and HPC. This Suraksha Hose has 5 years life and is rodent proof. Buy this item from authorised LPG distributors only, since there are fakes in the open market. Approved MRP for 1.5 Mtr Hose is Rs 170.00

Dealer who is providing LPG service to my family has stopped giving cylinder as I have already got 12 cylinders with subsidy. As per my knowledge after taking 12 cylinders with subsidy one can get cylinders without subsidy, but my dealer is saying that he has no instruction about giving 13th cylinder to such customers. He had cancelled my booking two times.I can believe that govt is trying to assure best services to public but if govt issues a clear guideline for this then it will be helpful.

It is reported that LPG subsidy is forcibly withdrawn from common people who don't earn 10 lac annually. There are many unemployed and underemployed youths in every family. SUBSIDY MUST NOT BE CUT OFF ARBITRARILY.

2.एलपीजी की बेवसाईट पर स्टाॅक एवं बुकिंग तथा वितरण का रियल टाईम डाटा पब्लिक डोमेन में उपलब्ध हो जिससे उपभोक्ता घर बैठे जान सकें कि एजेंसी में सिलेण्डर उपलब्ध है या नहीं 3.नगद भुगतान की बजाए सीधे खाते से अथवा मोबाईल रिचार्ज व्हाउचर की तरह सामान्य दुकानों में उपलब्ध कार्ड से घर बैठे भुगतान की व्यवस्था बनाई जाए 4.वजन हेतु इलेक्ट्रानिक गैजेट का विकास एवं डिलेवरी पर अनिवार्य बनाते हुए, गैजेट के वजन रिफरेंस नम्बर को उपभोक्ता के मोबाईल से कंपनी के नम्बर पर एसएमएस करने का नियम बनाया जा सकता है।
