LPG is a dominant cooking fuel of urban population and also, steadily penetrating in rural areas replacing other traditional sources of fuel which included fire wood, cow dung, coal, etc.

There are nearly 17 crore LPG consumers in the country with average refill of 35 lakh cylinders per day. The reach of LPG connections as well as providing timely services to the consumers has always kept in pace with the technological innovations. Provision of timely services and attending the grievances of the consumers continues to be critical for consumers’ satisfaction.

Available Web as well as Mobile phone based applications are extensively used to enable the new customers to get LPG connections and the existing customers to avail services. The Ministry has been taking all measures to leverage the Digital India initiative to make it more consumers friendly.
Presently, following citizen friendly services are being offered for the prospective and existing LPG consumers.

•Book Cylinder through IVRS -– allows consumer to book refill through their registered mobile number.
•Track Refill – It’s both Web and App based facility which shows consumer last 3 booking & delivery date
•Know Your Distributor –Web based facility provides distributor name, address, contact no , Sales officers name & email id
•Talk to Us – connects to call centre managed round the clock.
•Request for 2nd cylinder – allows consumer with single cylinder connection to request for additional cylinder.
•Mechanic Service – allows consumer to register request for mechanic service.
•Surrender connection – allows consumer to register request for surrendering connection.
•Rate your distributor – allows consumer to rate distributor on 5 service parameters, which enables the consumer to ascertain the quality of services provided by the distributor.
•Bank Detail – allows consumer to update Bank details for becoming Cash Transfer Complaint to avail the subsidy under ‘PaHal’ scheme.
•Opt out of Subsidy – provides option to ‘GiveItUp’ of LPG subsidy.
•Feedback Status – allows consumer to check status of any feedback submitted earlier

Ministry further wants to bring new innovations/improvement in services provided with an aim to enhance ‘quality’ of the services provided and transparency in transactions. Therefore, suggestions/creative inputs are solicited from the all the stakeholders on improving the services using communication platforms.

Very less LPG distributors are in rural area. Nearest distributor around 15KM away from my village and they don’t deliver cylinder to village. Most of village people don’t buy LPG cylinder due to less availability of cylinder and less distributor in rural area. I would suggest that LPG cylinder should be available in each village and can be collected from ration card dealer.

My request to the Hon'ble PM sir,is to bring Electoral reforms during the present tenure though time left is short.Even then voting should be made compulsory for each and every citizen.Every citizen including NRIs with Indian citizenship should be enrolled as a voter and with Digital India programme concept of e-voting should be worked out so that an indian sitting out of his/her place may vote on mobile or computer

It would be good if there is an option to debit the subsidized gas bill amount from the customers' bank a/c. This will encourage / promote cash-less and paper-less gas booking system. For this, customers' who wish to allow the subsidized gas bill amount get debited from their bank a/c can submit ECS (Debit) mandate to their home bank branches. Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, GOI has to give necessary instructions to the HPCL, BPCL, etc., Oil Marketing Companies to develop required forms.

hamari govt ko LPG Charges ko electricity bill ki sath attached kar dena chaiye. Agar kisi ka bill Rs 5000 monthly hai to LPG bill electricity ka 20% hona chahiye i.e 1000. wo is liye ki jo 5000 monthly bill de sagta hai wo Rs 1000 LPG ki bhi de sagta hai. is se
40 % subseedee kam ho jaye gi.

sir, as government from last few months suggesting all the capable citizens of India to give up their gas subsidy, so that poor people of India should get more benefits from government schemes. but the thing is, does each and every village, town, city of this country has at least one LPG gas agency, I thing no. my point is if we really want people in real need should be get some benefits then there must be easy  availability of LPG across every single part of this country.

The initiative of Aadhar card is greatly appreciated. However I found serious corruption in Aadhar application process at Asansol, West Bengal. The govt camp only process 30 appl per day. A man-made demand has been created. However some private agency (may be the same agency to which it has been outsourced) is taking Rs 300 and complete the formality of application. Most of the cyber cafe in Asansol are acting as agents of this private service. Is this service citizen friendly?
