The Government of India has launched an approach named “Vanbandhu KalyanYojana (VKY)” with a view to translate the available resources into overall development of tribal population of the country with an outcome-based orientation. Funds for tribal development under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) are sourced from State Plans, TSP components of schemes / programmes administered by Central Ministries/ Departments, Special Area Programmes such as Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub Plan (SCA to TSP) and Grant under Article 275 (1) of the Constitution, and Institutional Finances. The VKY is broadly intended to be a strategic process which envisages to ensure that all the intended benefits of goods and services under various programmes/schemes of Central as well as State Governments actually reach them by convergence of resources through appropriate institutional mechanism.

Views/comments/suggestions are invited from all sections of the society for effective implementation of Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana.

In North East India, Christian missionaries have done excellent work integrating/uniting and uplifting tribal people..What did they do differently since Indian Independence with meager resources that Indian Government is not able to do even with so much money?

Its not enough if tribal people become self-sufficient economically. Efforts should be made to make them feel they are part of India and majority Indian people. The government officials/workers/staff deployed in tribal areas may receive better training in the customs, traditions and Psychology of tribal people to improve their lifestyle on par with other Indians. They may be paid more than their counterparts in Cities so they remain loyal to Indian Government and stay away from corruption.

Indian Government officials & Indians should give up the thinking that tribal people should remain tribal people forever/for all the generations for next 1000 years. They are not toys for amusement for city people across the world. They should be modernized and brought on par with rest of Indian people in cities, towns and villages. Its ok if they forget their age old customs/traditions(like city & town people living in many states(different religions) who do not follow their customs verbatim!)

I wish some Indian students & their professors at Indian universities besides researchers in Government/NGOs are involved in researching at Universities of North and South Americas and their tribal communities (even communicating via emails, social media, websites, country’s govt officials, universities etc should be fine I guess)One can get tips from even Christian missionaries in Americas(who did wonderful work) and apply whatever works(best practices) for upliftment of Indian tribals.

North & South American nations have done some good work for uplifting Indigenous peoples of the Americas. May be some researchers from Indian universities should study the best practices especially after the civil rights movement in USA and submit their reports and suggestions to concerned ministries. (I really admire how Hawaii a tribal island region is now a world famous tourist destination)

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री जी,नमस्कार आप से अनुरोध है कि आप मन की बात में बढ़ती जनसंख्या के बारे में कुछ कहे जनसंख्या बढऩे का मतलब है कि हमें ज्यादा लोगों के शिक्षा के साधन, रोज़गार, खाना और रहने के लिए मकान चाहिएं। हमारी जनसंख्या में बहुत से लोग गरीब, साधनहीन, पिछड़े और अति पिछड़ों में शामिल हैं, स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं का बुरा हाल है, शिक्षा की कमी है, साधनों की कमी है बढ़ती जनसंख्या के बारे में केवल नेताओं या कुछ खास लोगों को ही नहीं बल्कि पूरे देश को सोचना होगा आबादी कम होगी तो विकास का लाभ सभी

There should be awareness among tribal people about giving more to the forests than taking from them, in order to create sustenance and resources for their future generations. Simple example would be planting and caring for trees that provide income to tribes. Care should be taken to ensure such new planting is in open areas and not at the expense of existing forest cover.

Home Guard,reserve force, etc. force are serving in special circumstances, I suggest that, chiktsa sevak team should be created, which consist of doctors,nurses and helping staff, The who want serve nation and people should be encouraged to join, specialised training and facilities should be provided.Such CHIKITSA SEVAK TEAM WILL BE USEFUL IN DISASTER,strikes AND RIOT period. the strikes and disaster have taken like of so many people, to contorl the position, alternative system should be adopted

The best way of Promotion of Information and Communication Technology systems in school and adult education is to allot all the possible allocable opportunities of learning and promoting to the privileged reservation categories and corrupt, selfish persons, like chaiwalas who fulfill their dreams "around the world" at the cost of nation's money, shot slogans of good doing to the poor.
