India is among 51 countries to sign the “Rome Declaration” on “Achieving Self-sufficiency in Safe Blood and blood products based voluntary non-remunerated donation”. Blood is an intrinsic requirement for health care and proper functioning of the health system. National AIDS Control Organization under Department of Health and Family Welfare has been primarily responsible for ensuring provision of safe blood for the country since 1992. National Blood Policy 2003 reiterates firmly the government’s commitment to provide safe and adequate quantity of blood, blood components and blood products.

However, in India, a needy patient or his relatives have to run from pillar to post in search of blood and the onus of procurement of blood still lies with the patient and not with the service provider.

Suggestions are invited on how to develop a nationally coordinated and well networked blood transfusion service in the country and reach 100% voluntary blood donation to enable us to meet the global goal of self sufficiency in blood and blood products.

ise liye mera kahne ka matlab ye hai ki koi esi yojana banao ki dehli wala dehli ke blued bank me blued donate kar de or udaipur wale ko udaipur me kisi bhi blued bank se blued mil jay....

The main problems with Indian blood banking system ares;

1. Highly fragmented subjective and out dated blood banking system

2. Poorly trained regulators

3. Lack of regulatory oversight

4. Out dated Drug and Cosmetic Act of India

5. Lack of awareness for Voluntary blood donation in society, rational use of blood in doctors and active participation by patient groups.

6. Governance deficit

My topic is:MORE AND MORE RICH AND INFLUENTIAL PERSONS SHOULD DONATE BLOOD. Generally the trend is attendant is asked to donate blood for the patient. In majority of the cases, if the attendant is rich and influential, they manage without donating by paying money or by recommendations. if poor, they donate having not money or recommendations. Rich people capable of having rich diet do not donate, whereas poor not able to take balance diet donate. So, need to aware rich and influential people.

Now next,
Anyone who donates blood, give him some points and allow these points to be converted to buy things or benefits in taxes. Add blood bank building part of CSR for corporates.
