Suggest measures to create jobs in rural areas so as to prevent excessive strain on our urban areas and at the same time enhance the development of the villages.

How would creating better employment opportunities in rural areas help stop migration to cities and thus prevent excessive strain on our urban areas at the same time enhancing the development of the villages?

Respected PM,the project of smart cities should preferably not be handed over in big contract values to big contractors.By this money goes in to only few hands who in turn get enough to fund political parties on their whim during elections.Instead, big companies should be given only consultant role. The hardwork of project execution must be given to unemployed people of India either trained months before or qualified engineering degree holders. The procurement must be done tenders transparently.

In order to empower farmers, Farmer Cooperatives should be strengthened, so that the farmer becomes a true businessman + producer-cum-trader, rather than being a mere producer. He should not be exploited by middlemen. Anand/Milk-cooperative like cooperative should come up in every agri commodity. This will boost agriculture output, employment, food-processing industry, prevent villagers migrating to cities, enable implementation of PURA : Provision of Urban Amenities in Rural Areas Scheme.

Gandhiji showed charka as a way of self reliance and self employment to every Indian. He did it to make people focused on their own self and rely on own self, and also help society on the whole by eliminating idleness and any dependence on british government. Similarly, government should now focus on devising new ways of making its rural population and villages self reliant and independent and self disciplined just like Gandhiji showed charka to the people then in independence movement.

sir millions of people from poor states migrate in search of job. if a provision can be made that at least 30% of branded products sold in the state to be manufactured in the same state this will help in generating jobs and will increase acceptance for the products made in that perticular state.

Respected PM sir : In India there are lot of government vacant land. So the government can take steps to grow trees in those government vacant land, which will be a better idea to reduce global warming, It also creates job opportunity for the poor people by employing them for the maintenance of such trees etc. Even it will create revenue by selling of fruits, vegetables, stems etc.
