Sivaramakrishnan adds that the All India Chit Fund Association is in the process of setting up a self-regulatory organisation for the industry which will be like the Bar Association or the Indian Medical Association. The need, he adds, is to create awareness and for the government to get more pro-active.http://www.business-standard.com/article/finance/chit-funds-the-south-side-story-113051100532_1.html

While awarding contracts for works through tendering, many times the rates quoted are too low, due to stiff competition and this leads to poor & sub-standard quality in works which ultimately causes extra expenditure on maintenance and early replacement. IT IS SUGGESTED TO PREPARE STANDARD RATE CONTRACT OF ALL CIVIL & ELECT. ITEMS PREPARED BY EXPERTS BY INCORPORATING REASONABLE MKT. RATES AND WORK CAN BE AWARDED TO ANY AGENCY IMMEDIATELY WHICH WILL GREATLY SAVE TIME & IMPROVE QUALITY HUGELY.

Govt bodies keep the funds unutilized but in the last minute rushes to spend some how wasting money. Allocation should be on quarterly basis and lapse if not spent in time. While seeking funds they should declare specific projects and not a generalized one. Transparency in contract allocation is important. Generally it is cornered by politicians in the name of their benamies

Economic subsidies be used only in extreme conditions for a short period and replaced by extending technical/scientific know how and soft loans to capitalize local conditions in agl./rural industries. PDS may cater only items necessary for survival in quite limited areas. Rural programs be exclusively directed towards assured infrastructure development. All POL subsidies be gradually lifted and fluctuations in diesel prices be kept in check by creating a stabilization fund in falling crude price

Heartiest thanks for austerity measures initiated by the govt of India. Some important steps should be taken to eradicate the corruption in purchase, overbilling, misuse the electricity, telephone, stationery, transport etc. Rotational transfer policy should be framed such a way that no any officer will stay more than one year on such a sensitive chair dealing with purchases, maintenance etc. Officers spent huge govt money to furnish n decorate their cabin, offices n it should be banned.thanks

Malthus and India The connection between Malthus and India are twofold. For one, the country provided the fitting final stage to re-enact his theory on divergent growth pattern between population and foodgrain production even as late as the 1960s, when India was plagued by booming population growth and a diffident growth in food production.Industrial development&agri deve to be in parllel.Failing will lead flood /Femine &major disator.FDI&IDI to be both eyes.Indian Direct Investment.MMM power
