Teachers are the cornerstone of any educational system. Developing the teaching talent and incentivizing best teachers, retaining good teachers are all significant to improving the ...
For a better class, teachers should promote thoughts of students and should provide useful topics to students. Now a days students are lacking a better discussion in their circles.A teacher should know about the talent in his/her every student. For this a schedule should be prepared in every school in which a separate lecture should be given for this activity. This will benifit a student in developing his own views on a particular topic and he will become more concious about decision making.
Attracting the best talent should be the priority by hikes in salary, providing better living conditions.Part time teaching that gives gives opportunity to working professionals, housewives and our senior citizens. Assessment should be based on outcomes and those students who are not able to gain the desired outcomes should given more time.
Statutory requirements like B.ed can be incorporated during service and it should not be a deterrent in attracting youth.
Teachers are the backbone of the society, the creators of a nation but actually when we look at the plight of the teachers , they are the most suffering lot in our country . They have to go for election duty census work complete their portion, all other activities etc,etc they should not scold any student , they are answerable to all . If anything goes wrong with the student , the teachers are held responsible . lot many rules have been framed for the students but what about the teacher?????
There should be ongoing programs at schools / colleges to upgrade their knowledge / skills , understand and adopt newer latest techniques . Teachers must undergo these program on continual basis . If the salaries are adequate ; teachers will take due interest in these programs .
First thing first . Please ensure the teachers get adequate salary . Private schools / colleges are not paying salary as per norms . You can not get good teachers @ salary of Rs. 3000 to Rs.4000 .
Today most teachers don't have subject knowledge. who don't get any other job are becoming teachers. physics& chemistry which must be thought in labs are read out in the class. students asking doubts are thrown out of the class. bio lecturer is pronouncing malvaceae - malavalaceae and spelling solanaceae - solanosae. none of the practical hours are conducted. for 10th & 12th teachers are doing practicals themselves.moral, P.ET & library hours are cancelled always.
The education system of govt.schools should be improved so that they can compete with private schools. The teachers should interact with private schools teachers on regular basis by conducting conferences to implement the same standard and education system as in private schools. The Govt. should provide the amenities and facilities in govt. schools like in private schools. The selection of teachers should be improved only competent and highly qualified teachers should be selected.
Diploma or a degree is not a measure of a great teacher, in this era of technology knowledge could be found at any corner the problem is to know how to find one and be curious about. There should be a compulsory teachers training programme where they could be taught not only what to teach but more importantly how to teach and spark the curiosity of a child which would automatically lead to innovation and skill because curiosty not marks is the driving force of all learning!
Teachers are backbone of this country. But today, we are having humans having teaching as a profession. So give a subject and class wise incentives based on student performance in that subject or overall performance.
Time to time workshop for teachers should be conducted to enable them equipped with new researches conducted in their own area & also promote tools of improved learning like projector based ya online conferencing
