If the teacher is himself or herself a seeker, a life-long learner, an aspirant on the path of inner growth and self-discovery, he/she presents a real-world role model for the students who can see in their teacher that it is possible to continue on one’s inner life while being engaged in external work. Personal example and influence might be the best way an educator can emphasize for his or her students this aim of inner discovery, this urge to be on a quest for the discovery of the truth within
teachers must first unlearn what they presently know or think they know about the function of a teacher. And they should then re-learn the true role that a teacher must play in the child’s life – that of a gentle facilitator who tries to create an ideal atmosphere where the children can discover the knowledge that lies hidden within them through proper impetus and gradual unfolding and development of various faculties.
+firstly the best teacher can be made by making the communication skills of the teacher of first class.these communication skills include proper pronunciation of the words, the most important the speed of the words spoken by him/her because listner processes the word at half rate as compared to the speaker
+secondly the teacher should be trained for giving practical knowledges with the help of pictures, object, projectors rather than with their hands
In almost private colleges faculties are underpaied. Can underpaied teachers deliver quality as compare to full paid. No university and acradation commity verify paysleeps. Ugc is slave for private education system.
What is diffrence between teacher, lecturer, reader and preofessor ? Find these concepts and deside their responsibilities frist. I challenge all that no education expert in ugc knowes this basic concept. Then how can be good policy without basic considerations.
Title teacher is wrong in HE. HE is far diffrent from shool education. If you want teachers in universities then never achive world class HE. Primary to university each catagory must have diffrent level of education. In schools teacher teaches but in university faculty must guide only not to teach. Let the students think in university let them learn. Dont teach them. Teaching is illusion learning is truth. 45 hrs canot teach university subject as whole.
We need to set up world class teachers training institute on the lines of IITs. At least one super sized institute in every state if necessary with assistance from other developed countries. Teachers should be trained in the latest teaching techniques including digital or online content. We really do not have to reinvent the wheel but just look at other countries which have done well and adapt it to our situation. Unless we have world class teachers we can not hope to have world class citizens.
