Most of the Private aided colleges getting grants from government recruits teachers by taking monetary donations from them. In such recruitment the quality of teachers is not tested. Futher after paying lakhs of rupees such teachers do not have attachment with teaching profession. State Teacher recruitment boards shall be established to select quality teachers and to stop such unethical practices.

Absence of teacher’s accountability is big hindrance for effective school functioning. Student entitlements in school not ensured due to absence of teachers’ accountability. In Assam,Good school functioning depends on teacher's interest. If one teacher is motivated for doing for society, then he does. Unknowing is regular practice of teachers. So, classrooms are not changed after utilization of Rs 50,000 in SSA. Teacher’s dutiful activity is not traced. Only solution to have web based monitoring

Web maintained monitoring system will help to increase teacher’s accountability. Creation of evaluation lab in every block where every can know the academic progress of student. Quarterly teacher’s appraisal system should be introduced. Reward and punishment on the basis of student progress is to be introduced. Teacher's increment should link with student performance and school functioning.

govt is talking about getting into international standards but is enable to give basic needs(wrt to my previous comment). if a teacher teaches well, then why would students take tutions. this will also shut down the money seeking coaching centres.

please improve the quality of teachers appointed to teach. why isn't there any norms to check whether a particular applicant is capable of teaching or not? why the authorities play with the future of so many childrens of schools and colleges? i have seen some horrible teachers who are appointed for past 25 years teaching a particular subject but don't the contents of textbooks. and what the hell is this appointment through some sources or giving bribe!

if we want to develop a best teacher should change our teacher education system, that, who is coming for the only for job not for teaching. another thing i am telling that, in teacher training institution system should take admission who is really want to be a teacher, only for choice not for chance. should develop teaching skills in teacher. should open good equipped teacher education institution. please stop that institution that sales the certificate of training in our country.

Private schools need to publish how much they pay the teachers and what qualifications their teachers have. This should be coupled with their teachers marks on assessment center which should be done free of cost by government. This should be available online for parents to make more informed choices.
