The digital world has become an essential part of our daily lives—whether it’s social media, online shopping, digital banking, or gaming. Along with these opportunities come new risks such as Investment Scam, Instant Loan, Part time job, Trading, Sextortion, Courier Fraud, Digital Arrest, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS).

To build a safer online community, Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in collaboration with MyGov invites citizens to join the Digital Safety Dialogue. This open discussion is a space for sharing personal experiences, safety tips, and community practices that help protect against cyber threats. By learning from each other, we can strengthen digital safety awareness and promote secure online behavior for all.

Your inputs will help create a collective pool of ideas and practices that can be used to spread awareness and guide citizens towards building a Cybercrime-free Digital Bharat.

Respected sir, In rural areas, many people use smartphones but don’t know how to stay safe online. Because of fake links, fraud calls, and scams, they lose personal information and money. I request the government to: Give digital safety training in villages. Send warnings in local languages. Make cyber help centers more active. Promote safe Indian apps. Create easy reporting systems for scams. With proper support, common citizens can stay safe and grow confidently in the digital world. Deo Kumar, Giridih Jharkhand

No matter how much the government bans gambling apps, pornographic websites and apps, they keep taking on new forms. If the government is unable to stop them, there is no other option but to regulate them. Apps and websites that operate in secret are the ones that are most likely to steal personal information. Viruses and hacking links are mostly accessed through websites and apps that operate in secret. Gambling apps can be allowed to operate on a monthly fee basis with taxes. Despite the government ban, customers continue to lose money. The ban on activities that offer prizes or goods should continue. Strict regulations should also be imposed on pornographic websites and apps. The Ministry of Home Affairs should publish a monthly report on websites, social media sites, and apps that facilitate online fraud and the action taken Operating without permission indirectly leads to corruption and bribery. The government may allow with a maximum GST percentage.

Social networking sites permitted in India should not be allowed to share their data or transfer their revenue abroad. Many crimes are committed through the data collected on social networking sites. Similarly, mobile telecommunication service providers should have a strong technical framework against fake calls, internet calls and text messages. If telecommunication service providers have a strong framework, the chances of mistakes will be reduced. If any fraudulent calls and text messages are detected and blocked by telecommunication companies, it should be informed to the customer. This will help protect the customer from being approached by fraudsters in another way. The government should provide tax incentives to improve the technological infrastructure of telecommunications companies.

My Gov under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)
