How can we bring an end to the menace of manual scavenging?
Modijee, pakistan ka ceasefire violation at Arnia is sumthng very bad and i wish that our External Affairs Ministry give an appropriate response to d issue.....
In our school days we were strictly told to clean our classrooms n surroundings...maintain gardens..n everyone had to work whether he or she was a ministers son or daughter a govt servants or a farmer . Many parents were unhappy but our principal was very strict..back then we didnt undestood its importance but today i know those moral values are still prsent within us.
My little nephew walking on your path Modi Ji.... Future of India :-)
If he can do it, why can't we
The habit of littering is too huge in our country. I think people dont listen if someone want to educate them in this issue. It's better to have a system that when a person is found littering in a public area , he/she should be taken to the nearby police station and he should be made to sit there for one or two hours inside the police station and this should be made as a rule or law. As their self respect is at stake peopleise the importance and sensitivity of the issue as their self respect is
Step-wise Cap on how the Chew-able Gutka, Pan Masala etc are to be used is required.
e.g.
1. One can buy and consume them, and of course spit it, at the vendor site only and not allowed to carry away
2. One chewing them will have to make their own arrangement to spit in, and not on the streets or anywhere else
3. Disposables made of paper boards must be promoted over that of plastics by giving tax/duty free sale etc..to the paper-disposables

The only drawback with Op-1 is inconvenient emptying when train is full.
The solution is option 2: Garbage-in from inside and emptying from outside. Drawback is, it would require cutting the steel plates
Op-3: bins outside the window, no modifications only installation. Drawback is breadth should be decided carefully that it is not injurious to passengers on a crowded platform.
Any option may be opted considering the pros and cons of each of them
Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
We must appreciate our sanitary workers for the kind of cleanliness tasks they are doing for us day in and day out. We must stop calling them "Safai Karamchari's". In my view they are cleaning the society's mess created by most of us and must be acknowledged as "Sahari/ Gramin Saudaryakartas" as they are beautifying our cities/ villages.
we would to like to thanks to his pm. he is great.we'll give full support to pm. and also we,ll do this work. thank you sir
To maintain the railway coaches cleaner, one good idea is to install dust-bins without compromising the space for passengers. There are 3-4 options for that.
The space between the two windows/seats is hollow and which can be used as an inbuilt dustbin as shown in option 1 and 2 or a flatter bin may be installed outside the window (option 3).
best is Op-1 : where there is No compromise with space and req minimum modification, Waste in from top, out from bottom. [Cont. in next post]
Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
I must congratulate you for taking this noble cause wherein we can dream of Swacch Bharat in our lifetime's. We can generate huge municipal revenue for ULBs by heavily penalizing those who deliberately litter streets, markets and other public places. Private contractors can easily be hired on PPP mode and also help ailing ULBs who are currently in financial mess. We don't need to invest any funds in the same and just authorize private contractors to collect penalties.
