“The earth, water and the air are not a gift to us from our parents but a loan from our children.” ---Anonymous

Energy resources have transformed human lives and lifestyles. Energy resources have allowed for human achievement and ambition to move from the potter’s wheel, farmer’s plough and the weaver’s loom to space missions and robots among others. However, the modern world looms in the shadow of a severe energy crisis: the result of unsustainable and inefficient use of energy resources.

Unsustainable and inefficient energy consumption threatens the very basis of life as we have come to know it. In the face of the increasing scarcity of energy resources it is imperative that we launch a committed, concerted and cumulative effort towards holistic energy use habits and sustainable consumption patterns.

Energy conservation most importantly means that conservation becomes an all pervasive habit, an everyday philosophy and practice that aims to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, adoption of energy efficient lifestyles and fostering innovations in green and clean energy technologies.

D&NHPDCL invites suggestions, guidance, comments from citizens, self-help groups, environmental organisations towards developing Energy Conservation as a habit towards an energy secure future.

Government can save lots of money on providing electricity on the street lights which consume lots of electricity, by providing clean green energy through solar panels which have become much cheaper with times. I have a plan to manufacture solar panels for street lights if I ca get some startup suppotrt from Government in state of Rajasthan, where I plan to put up a factory in Neemrama zone by tying up with a chinese company for technology transfer and local production, and buy back from Govt.

For #EnergyConservation, - Encourage the households using an air conditioner to replace their old or assembled equipment with the new and more energy efficient ones. Encourage the public to use the electronic stepped fan speed regulator. - Request the air conditioner users to set the thermostat at 28 - 30 C instead of 23-25C. - Suggest to Walk/ride bus( to use bicycle/ride bus ( to use motorcycle/ ride bus (Up to 2 persons or > 2 km) > to use car/ ride bus (>2 persons)

Respectability of the nature is the need of the hour.Indiscriminate killing of nature has become order of the day. My humble suggestion metering of usage of water is required in all urban areas.more water consumption more the tax or minimum water requirement may be capped for each family depending on their consumption. Equally earth should not be exploited indiscriminately except water conservation. For this fine may be imposed on exploiters.
