travelling with bike should be banned to the schools & colleges. all are requested to go by bus or by scooty which is run by battery. that is rechargeable. most of the township area there should be subsidy on buying of such scooty because all time they uses petrol & diesel running vehicle. all the students should understand national interest on sustainable development through seminar or such camps organize by govt employees.
Energy efficient machines can be used. Noise free machines can be used. Pollution free environment can be created.
I am very much interested in solar energy on rooftop. But thr problem is from where i will get the right advice.
From this problem a suggestion co.es out that, plesse set up a platform where any type of problem can be handled or advised by some professional.
production of solar energy is to be encourage by Govt. at roof of home and houses. Because investment in solar energy production is very much high compare to per unit cost.
There should be an energy audit done on every large building. 6 months or One year time should be given to implement this rule all over the country. Power supply should be given to such buildings only if the energy audit report is favorable. To make this system work transparently, government could make this as a self declaration system and random checks should be done by respective authorities.
We urgently need to do energy audit of all government buildings and implement solutions to improve the energy efficiency.
Dear Sir, there is a concept called net metering where anyone who installs solar panels, wind mills or generates any other form of renewable energy can contribute to the grid & reduce his bills according to the electricity generated. There should be a big awareness drive regarding this initiative since this not only eases pressure on the Government to build electricity infrastructure but also encourages cleaner forms of energy thereby reducing pollution.
Just to add to the idea from Tesla Motor a few points..
Step 1 - Convert all the buses in intra-city travel to electric with each station having the power supply unit to recharge the batteries along with a good amount of standby batteries, Will reduce pollution in cities and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
Step 2 - Tesla has initiated the development of electric car for the common man, invest in it, try to get it in India. After the success of buses, people will move to electric cars.
Include private participation. I have waste terrace space. Solar companies have money but no space. So I rent out the space to the company that wants to install solar panels on my (otherwise useless) rooftop. I am happy since I earn rent. The company is happy since it sells the power to the grid. Govt is happy because it is getting surplus power without large investment in land and / or power plants. This way, the price of solar panels also reduces because of increased production of panels.
