Buildings facing sun are to be provided with 2 sets of glass windows.Outer glass window shall have 1 inch opening at top and 1/2 inch opening at bottom. It need be pasted with sun control film to minimise the entry of heat. Heat of sun will be absorbed by the air in between the glass sheets. Cooler air will enter from the bottom of glass window & hot air escapes from the top. Thus, inner part of the building will be less hotter. We can save a lot of electricity for A/C at each building.

Government Departments websites should make sure that all reports which need to be printed by the public and submitted, fit in one A4 size paper. They should also remove high colour stuff so that prints are less heavy. This way we can save paper, ink, photocopy cost and increase effeciency, leading to saving in power consumption.
Software designers need to pay special attention to this aspect.

Our country can be thought to be mature enough to have two or three time zones so that East and West India can make the best use of daylight.

Idea for Power Generation

Hi,
My idea is to erect water turbines on every building which has a height of more than 30 meters at a distance of 10 meters each. So if a building has a height of 100 meters then install 10 water turbines in a single line 1 below each at a distance of 10 meters.
Now have 1 water tank below on the ground floor with a capacity of 50000 liters.

Place a water pump which can send the water on the top of the building and have a water tank on the terrace with a capacity of 50000 liters.
Now just drop the water through a pipe with high speed jet on the turbines and they will rotate and produce electricity. This will be enough to light up the building, use to run the lift, air conditioners ets. And also surplus electricity to be sold to other smaller buildings.
