How can it be ensured that not only does the arrival of tourists increase but also the Ganga remains clean?
..helping in the clean Gangs project in different innovative ways will surely attract world tourism since environment is a popular cause.
This along with as I mentioned earlier promoting an Indian way of clean living will be attractive to the international tourists.
I wrote this from my mind without any research , may be much of it is already implemented.
Sir, cleaning the Ganga is on India's agenda for a long time. But thanks for making it a public movement & bringing it closer to reality
.. and air , environment friendly modes of transport since what goes into the air and soil goes to the river also.
-at the same time using technology for connectivity , safety and reducing carbon footprints.
- daily updates on level of water pollution will remind all the delicate state of the river.
- resting periods after each tourist season to reverse the damage and protected zones after each hotspot for the same purpose.
- tourism packages that involve the tourists to take part in the .
Some of our holiest places are located alongside Ganga because nature is as sacred to us as our temples. Living in harmony with nature is our culture , if the holy places along the river which sees influx of seasonal tourists adopt to a way of life closer to nature and to our roots it will a much improved version of ecotourism. Like
-cutting down on the negatives of modern living , opting for biodegradable products, swapping chemical based products with natural ones, preferring natural light .
Ganaga ko agar Hume clean karna hai to ek kam karna uchit hoga jaise Jo waha ke bhikari hai or Jo BPL line se below hai hum unhe is kam me laga sakte hai isse kya hoga ki Jo garib log hai waha unhe do waqt ki roti ke liye paise bhi mil jayenge or gandangi bhi nahi dikhayi degi isse garibi bhi kam hogi or sath me ganga clean bhi ho jayegi isse tourism bhi badhega or sabse badi bat isse waha ke garib logo ka hausla bhi buland hoga. Is kam ke liye un logo ko paise bhi milenge or garibi bhi ghategi
Tourism Idea-
5- Designate some High rise tower buildings inside the city and use it for Varanasi City eyesight viewing from Top floors. The building may be attached with a Mall residence or Offices
6- Preserving the Birds and Ecosystem influx by increasing greenery and redesigning the Parks for the habitats coming every year to Ganges and other regions
7- Including a City Water Bus tour which can go in Water and as well as on roads for daily Photography and Sight seeing viewing....
Recently for the first time i made pilgrimage to Kashi to immerse ashes of my beloved father. It was a great experience beyond words. My suggestion is
To involve and engage all the stake holders like pilgrims, boatsmen, the priests, the petty shop keepers, hotel and guest house owners, akharas , in a systematic , consistent and sustainable way in the long run and develop and inculcate a code of conduct and behaviour and good practices that would ultimately stop polluting the sacred river
Tourism Idea Number
1- Artificial and natural beach design where tourists can have water-sports like parasailing, boating areas, private access beaches for Sun Bath etc.....attached to a Hotel.
2- Cruise Dinner will allow to discover ghats of cities like Varanasi, and many more cities where ever resources and transport available
3- Organizing water sports for example like Onam activities in Ganges ...to increase.
4. Providing Modern boat design for Night Housing Boats...this will attract many.
Sir, 'namami gange' , to clean ganga appoint group of volunteers consisting 5 people at every 2 kilo metres. Retired army persons can b suitable for this. Hv special awards for these volunteers to motivate. Both sides of ganga can b guarded fm pollution n waste. This will increase torism n milk production wil also go up. Youth r encouraged to visit varansi, bcs cleaning drive going on. Industry should b encouraged to use modern technology for the disposal of waste. V can not close industry also,
Sir, For Clean Ganga (a) Govt. should create good bathing facility at important places i.e. Haridwar, Allahabad, etc. & handover it to some organisation like "SULABH COMPEX" who will charge nominal amount for bathing & also ensure cleanliness of the holy river. People should not use soap/shampoo/oil while bathing. Small amt.of flowers/coconut/Diya/Ashes, etc.tobe offered to Ganga should be put in river for a while & then cleaned.(b) The boat owners ensure cleanliness. Fine Rs.100 for guilty.
Stop throwing dead bodies, half burnt bodies , ash & other materials in Ganga. Create electric/oil-gas fired cremation facilities for burning dead bodies. No wood should be used to burn dead bodies. Washing animals ,defecating on bank, cloth washing should be prevented immediately.Create separate facility if required for washer community for washing. Ensure Sewer and Industrial waste is released only after treatment downstream in the river. Institute periodic social & media audit.
