Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

Namaskar to all,
I appreciate the launching of "CHOTU" cylinders as it will benefit the residents of hilly areas as well as rural areas.I want to suggest the idea of "SAAJHA CHOOLHA" to strengthen the social bondings and eradicate untouchability. It will also help to save the natural gas as a fuel. Mid Day Meal has done a great job in Govrenment schools.

Dear Sir, I guess "Achhe Din" slogan can be truly a reality if we bring down the oil prices RECIPROCAL to the fall of crud oil in gulf countries. When curd was $110/barrel, our petrol price was Rs.75/-. Now when Oil price has fallen to $29/barrel our prices should be around Rs 20. Does our Govt. taking advantage of people's purchasing capacity in past? In fact its beyond the purcasing capacity. It will ease the price index for all commodity and hence bring "Achhe Din" please think on this.

If our govt orders to buy oil marketing and oil exploration companies [instead of procurement of crude] outside India then it could be more beneficial in the way that our cash outflow could be controlled as our major outflow is because of the import of crude and for that it could issue Petro Bonds which are publically tradable.

NE region people being mostly attached to the nature makes it hard to make them accept with E&P.The best way to make them participate is to assure them a well social life.Assure them with employment and make sure that some percent of the profit will be used for their development.

Sir
In every city we have street lights there height 30 to 40
FTS and I thinks that we can use them as small wind energy generator .each makes 100watt in city we have 1000 streets lights (100*1000= 100000watts).
Or
Hot air energy generator , his streets light are long and made of steel and hole inside in Summer season these becomes too hot inside air also become s hot we know that hot air goes up and we can use this to make power just we to make small hole in down coolair in and hotgoes up
