Equal Employment Opportunities for the Specially-abled

Start Date :
Sep 11, 2014
Last Date :
Sep 30, 2015
00:00 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
Deliberate on actionable points to provide equal employment opportunities to the specially-abled across various sectors.
Goverment and private organizations should construct houses, flats or rooms for the specially abled within the premises for this category of staff and Life Centered Career Education/training is provided to the Youth of this category. proper educational/practical training facilities, with emphasis on total personality development, competence and confidence, positive attitude towards self & work by enacting centers specially for them or in collaboration with NGO’s or institutional organizations
funds and opportunities must be provided to local authorities for helping specially abled and they must be hold accountable
sir i recently watched movie the theory of everything - a portrayal of stephen hawking life.i wonder that had been a talent of such kind existed in india will we be able to tap that. people like einstien, hawking, hamilton etc were been provided opportunities by their society but in india people first strive to overcome the physical barriers in education, transport, and day to day affairs.funds must be devoluted to local authorities for helping specially abled and they must be hold accountable
Dr.Ramaa S, The atmosphere in the work place should be congenial for the Specially-abled Individuals. Removing the architectural barriers and social barriers are very essential. These barriers restrict the entry of these persons to work place. Most of the buildings in India are not barrier free. Even the competent persons are barred from the access because of lack of adaptations in physical environment. Higher Education Institutes are also in similar conditions.
Dr.Ramaa S Providing equal opportunity for the specially-abled is welcome . But It will be fruitful only when Life Centered Career Education is provided to the Youth of this category. Apart from welfare measures to this population proper educational facilities have to be provided, with emphasis on total personality development, competence and confidence, positive attitude towards self & work. These provisions can only enhance the productivity and Independence of these Individuals .
BSNL portal has a 24X7 customer care which does not work all the time and a pre-recorded message will repeat the user to choose the preferred language. It is for sure that there is no care for their customers. If you have to activate your internet or modem or disconnect your modem or internet or telephone you have to run around BSNL offices. Connectivity is another big issue even in metros for mobile/ modem. Billing is ridiculous for unused facilities like Hungama Movies or music is charged.
HR portals fake are created and telecallers especially in Delhi & Noida. Jobseekers are called on mobile to login to their portals and insisted for registration misleading that they are consultants for leading banks like HSBC, HDFC etc. One such portal is postyouresume.com who swindles jobseekers atleast Rs. 16k- to 20k if taken through their process. On my own experience lost Rs. 8500/- and then made an awareness through exclusive mba google+ . Hence Govt should nab miscreants & stern action.
Income tax exemption limit under 80U for differently abled people should be increased up to Rs. 2 lakhs. It is 50,000 since many years.
I think they should be given equal opportunities for employment because they are our brother and sister..through employment they will become independent which in turn will create a self reliance spirit in them..and our nation will glorify even more....
All Government notification/rules and regulation regarding education policy/circulars published by education department and government are currently available only in local language. The notification should be made available in English and local language. To facilitate access to information for people from other states who do not know to read local language.Especially people in transferable Jobs. This will help parents of Special children to avail the accommodations provided by the state goverment
