Under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) has created, a mobile and web music application ‘SANGAM’, as the name of the application suggests, has been conceived as an aural confluence of several streams of devotion and divinity, as also a confluence of the various art forms that are part of our musical traditions. The application has been envisioned as a one-stop virtual destination for the connoisseurs of music of classical, folk, devotional and popular styles alike.

‘SANGAM’ is a first of its kind initiative taken by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and the following are its major features:

1. Sangam features over 2500 devotional tracks in 24 Indian languages on themes such as Mantras, Lord Vishnu (and his various Avatars like Ram and Krishna, etc.), Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Goddess Durga and Devis (such as Lakshmi, Saraswati) etc.

2. The content includes songs and music from the National Audio-Visual Cultural Archives, by Bharat Ratna(s) PanditBhimsen Joshi, Ustad Bismillah Khan and Dr. M.S. Subbulakshmi; and incorporates recitation and recitals from classical texts like The Vedas, Adi Shankaracharya’s Moha Mudgara, poet Jayadeva’s Gita Govinda, Goswami Tulsi Das’s Ram Charit Manas, Dohas of Sant Kabir, Bhajans of Meera Bai, Kritis of Thyagaraja and Abhangs of Sant Tukaram, to name only a few.

3. Furthermore, the rich content includes Thumris, Dadras, Bhajans, Abhangs, Kritis and Padams and other genres across various traditions of Hindustani & Carnatic Classical Music and folk music.

4. Sangam App will be updated soon with several Sufi, Gurbani and other devotional tracks from all faiths.

Sangam App is available now on Android and iOS platforms, and also as a web application.

modi ji apke dwara kiye gye sare kam bohot hi badiya hai,desh k logo ko jodne ka yeah ek bohot hi badiya tarika hai.,aapse ek anurodh hai k desh ki mahilao ki surksha k liye bhi aisa koi app ho jaha par hum mahilaye apne aas paas ho rhe mahilao par atyachar ,ya mahilao se judi hui paresani k bare may bina kisi darr k bata sake or ushke khilaf koi police dwara action liya ja sake..

सभी वादी प्रतिवादी की फाइल की समस्या सभी न्यायालय लंबी प्रकिया को छोटी प्रकिया करके समस्या का समाधान करने के लिए नया नियम बनाया जाये ताकि जनता का समय व रूपया न बरबाद हो। श्री माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी ऐसा नियम लागू हो जाये तो मैं आपका आभारी रहुगा। मो. 6392957655

sir, make it bharat sangam, our tradition culture folks can be viewed listen from trusted source with details , it can be highest digital viewership, first step ministry need to insist is made in India digital engine alike google or YouTube , we need to reduce foreign dependence & insecure digital security & loss of revenue , cultural admin can verify every source of inputs for trust of viewership

Am sinchana from bellur nagamagala. I am a private school primary school samskrit teacher. I was working in bgs mps from last 3 years as a samskrit teacher. This year i got the news from icse bord that on 2027 they are making eng as first language and regional language as 2 language... because of this reason sanskrit is stoped in our school. By this decision samskrit teacher are losting the jobs. Plz make sanskrit as optional language.. and pls save sanskrit
