मेरी बहन और मैं "केंद्रीय विद्यालय" परिवार के साथ "डिपार्टमेंट" के खेल के मैदान में इस राष्ट्रीय पर्व का पूरा आनंद उठाते थे!(बाद में हमारा छोटा भाई भी इन राष्ट्रीय पर्वों में बढ़चढ़कर भाग लेना शुरू किया!)
विशेषत: स्वाधीनता दिवस व गणतंत्र दिवस हमारे लिए 'खास' था,जब हम "डिपार्टमेंट" के खेल के विशाल मैदान में "मार्चपास्ट" से लेकर "तिरंगा" फहराने व अन्य कई सारे कार्यक्रमों में भाग लेकर गर्व अनुभव किया करते थे! हम अपने घर में भी छोटा-सा तिरंगा फहराते थे।

आज भी मुझे याद है वो १९८६ से १९९२ का समय था। असम की समसामयिक अवस्था उस दौर में बड़ी अशांत एवं अनिश्चितता से भरी थी!
हमारे पिताजी की केंद्रीय सरकार की नौकरी असम के तिनसुकिया जिले की डुमडुमा नगर में किसी विशेष स्थान पर थी।

Dear Honourable Prime Minister, I am writing to bring to your attention Dadaguru - Samarth Sadhguru a renowned spiritual guru who has dedicated his life in the service of Maa Narmada and the people of India. He is on a sathyagrah or as he says Sathya ka Agrah to inform people on the importance of Maa Narmada & mother nature in our lives. He has given up eating food and for more than 1400 days he is thriving on only Narmada Jal. He wants Maa Narmada to be given status of a living entity - Jivit Ikai. Stop pollution by diverting sewage. Stop using of soap with immediate effect. Stop sand mining. Stop building within the limits of HFL to preserve and protect the flora and fauna necessary for her existence. Stop deep daan & visarjan in her holy waters. He is working tirelessly for the past 14 years to clean Maa Narmada and educate the citizens on the importance of nature and specially Maa Narmada for our existence. I would request you discuss his work in Maan ki baat to increase awareness
