With a dramatic growth in elementary education enrolments and improvements in retention and transition rates in recent years, particularly amongst the more disadvantaged groups, there is an increasing pressure on the secondary schools to admit more students. With the enforcement of RTE Act and further improvement in retention and transition rates, demand for secondary schooling will grow rapidly in the coming years. The objective of this discussion group is to assess to what extent we have made quality education available, accessible and affordable to the target population in the age group of 14–18 years. How we can increase access to post elementary education across the country in a manner so as to ensure no child is denied the opportunity of completing his/her school education. In particular, how can we address the geographical and social disparities in secondary education?

अध्ययन-अध्यायपन का कार्य घर और पारिवार से दूर यानी आश्रम या गुरुकुल व्यवस्था में ही होना चाहिए
माता-पिता सरकार को धन साधन आश्रम या गुरुकुल को अधिकाधिक उपलब्ध करना चाहिए |
माता-पिता को अपने पुत्र-पुत्रियों को गुरुजन बन्धुओं के निर्देशन में ही सदा रखना चाहिये ।

Presently students of class 10 after that have to opt PCM PCB commerce or humanities as subject... Now indivisual options must be provided.. So that person interested in maths and history can opt both together
....

Students should provide their addmission on His/Her obtained marks.Not the bases of their money or category.

Man making is education. parents mind set is to be changed by conducting awareness programs. Quality teachers should be appointed. In teaching profession there should be no reservations. only merit based appointments lead to quality. culture of India and our past should be taught to the next coming generation of this country. Europe and world history is to be minimized. Local history is to be given priority. Our ancient science and maths are to be taught. Indigenous teaching system is better.

Many things are to be considered. The first one is medium of instruction. In our country every one is forced to admit the children in English Medium. up to primary education it must be in mother tongue. English can be taught as a language. All round development is education. so physical, mental, emotional spiritual and cultural development should be the purpose of education. Education for examination such a notion is to be eradicated. Education is for life. Values should be inculcated.

The main focus in Secondary and Senior Secondary education is understanding of knowledge instead of memorization of subject. Instead of exam there should be projects through out the year so student can grasp the essence of subject.Encourage learning through group discussion. Encourage extra curricular activities. Do not force student with idea money.

माध्यमिक शिक्षा में भूगोलिक और समाजिक विषमताओं को दूर करने के लिए संसाधनों का उचित वितरण ,अध्यापकों के रिक्त पदों की पूर्ति ,छात्रों का भ्रमण एवं PPP की सहायता से विद्यालयों का विस्तार करना होगा | निशुल्क शिक्षा का प्रावधान करना ,बच्चे को विद्यालय के चयन की स्वतंत्रता देना जरुरी है|

माध्यमिक शिक्षा को कौशलता से जोड़ना ,समाज सहयोग से विद्यालय बढ़ाने (NGO),काउंसिलर द्वारा विषय रूचि को नवम कक्षा से जानकर उस पर अत्यधिक बल देना तथा छात्रों की क्षमताओं का प्रयोग समाजिक कार्यों में लगाने से उन्हें समाजिकता ,राष्ट्रीयता से जोड़ा जा सकता है |समाज कार्यों से कौशलता के साथ सम्वेदनात्मक विकास होगा|

Like all developed and many developing countries India must ensure (in next 10 year) 80 % net enrolment in secondary and senior secondary schools. All schools should be uniformly equipped with respect to staffing, teaching aids, libraries, laboratories, play facilities, other extra curricular activities, computerisation. These schools must ensure boarding and guidance facilities for kids whose parents don't have proper study rooms and can not provide guidance to the kids to ensure equity.
