Roughly 1% of GDP is spent on higher education as against a target of 1.5%. In the recent years, the state share of expenditure on education has declined as compared to an increase in Central expenditure on education. How can we address the financial resource constraints in higher education?

Higher education in our country superb with many key personnel of Indian origin around the globe. We need to further polish the talent. Our problem is that there are lot of students in the degree level. But those who do PG or Research is too little in number. The causes vary from lack of facilities to the high cost - so even Rank holders fail to continue their studies. So, we should guarantee free education to all.

Higher education atleast in the medical field is literally working under the teacher, ask any one who has undergone such training PG is expanded as "Phaltu Gadah".
It is not wrong if some one is working hard to earn knowledge, the worry is - to do such a job, fee paid is in lakhs, donation is in crores; Stipend is in thousands, many a times forcing grown up adults to depend on their parents for basic needs.
We need to seriously look into such fee pattern

Why can't the fees of medical education be brought down ? There should be some sort of financial support for those students who want to persue MBBS or other medical degrees. Help those 1000 of students who still dream to be a doctor but can't achieve it due to lack of financial support. Help those 1000 of students who still can't crack medical entrance exam due to lack of proper guidance. Please !!

why is there a difference between GATE scholars.. Gov should provide increases 12400 scholarship to all qualified GATE PG students not only IIT and NITs.

In MHRD, they have to be fast in making decision, one of the official in Financial dept of AICTE told me that decision is pending in MHRD. so i have to ask, why they took so much coverage while announcing the scheme, if they wanted to EXECUTE it PARTIALLY

I am a PG student 2014-16 of structural engineering ME stream, in NITTTR SHAMLA HILLS BHOPAL,
We are getting the scholarship of 8000 pm but after revision of scholarship we should have 12400 pm like other colleges (NITs and IITs).
As per issued a notification by MHRD vide no. F.NO.l7-2/2014-TS.I dated February 18, 2015

We try to get UGC, AICTE, even I did RTI (Registration Number: AICTE/R/2015/61398)
but didn’t get the satisfactory response, or line always seems to be busy there
