Roughly 1% of GDP is spent on higher education as against a target of 1.5%. In the recent years, the state share of expenditure on education has declined as compared to an increase in Central expenditure on education. How can we address the financial resource constraints in higher education?

As Education is in the concurrent list of the constitution of India so we need to have leverage of Education policy to be formulated by both the center & the states,But so far as central allocation of funds on education are concerned the centre should have to take the call on all the policies related to scholorships programmes of the states like their proper disbursements to the required classes with full transparency. In some cases like central universiti universities union shouls take control

We have a Indian Universal issue of reservation for education, job, etc.,Support poor people for ROTI, KAPADA, MAKAN and EDUCATION.Jobs has to be Earned on his performance. One of the reason for Curruption is reservation.Finacing by Government should be based on candidates pooverty level not on reservations/cast.Wecan see a butifull Bharath if this cast system is removed in Education, jobs.We at India are working all over world, Please remove cast system/reservations to have mera bharath Mahan.

In rural and backward area, instead of adopting performance based funding , the financing of the Colleges must be done to improve the performance. Before judging the students' results of the institution for computing finance(as in RUSA) ,minor research should be done why the results of students is not upto the mark.Hence the system of performance based funding must be abolished.

ALL PRIVATE COLLEGES ARE RUNNING UNDER BASE OF SCHOLARSHIP. GOVERNMENT HAS DECLARED SCHOLARSHIP FOR SC/ST STUDENTS BUT IN REALITY SC/ST STUDENTS DON'T GO TO COLLEGE INSTEAD THEY ONLY NEED SCHOLARSHIP. THIS IS SERIOUS MATTER AS ALL SAMAJ KALYAN ADHIKARIES ARE INVOLVED IN THIS GAME. IN THESE COLLEGES THERE IS LESS STAFF AND NOT EVEN STUDENT COMES. ALSO DURING EXAM CHEATING IS PROVIDED TO THESE STUDENTS SO THAT THEY MAY PASS.

All Engineering college and Medical college are mostly in the hands of politicians or industrialist. Education loan is entertained in real terms to cater these people and not to help the poor, if so the fees structure of private engineering college/medical college should be par with govt medical/engineering college, when that day will come then financing will not be a problem and the applicant judiciously pay the amount, which will help the society to buid.

Financing this scheme is a good cause and is encouring. If we lookinto bank books on NPAs, it is high. so to sustain bank books in a healthy way, revision in this scheme should be adopted with 50% funding by parents and 50% by banks. If the student successfully carries over to next level this 50% shall be refunded to parent under the scheme. After completion he/she shall be in any organisation or start business. Banks should possess original records till the loan is completed. India /Abroad.

currently the fees of IIT is much less to what is being charged at other state run or pvt institutions, most of the state govt run colleges are offering self finance courses(SFC)for example Rajasthan Govt is running almost 10-11 engineering colleges where the fee charged is on the SFC basis. In fact Rajasthan State Govt is making money out of these SFC courses, whereas those are expected to provide budgets. Needed is that state government simple stops taking its 25%-50% share from SFC. courses,
