Roughly 1% of GDP is spent on higher education as against a target of 1.5%. In the recent years, the state share of expenditure on education has declined as compared to an increase in Central expenditure on education. How can we address the financial resource constraints in higher education?

Till now much of the financial resources of the government have gone into few elite institutions with the hope that it the result will spread from there. Without going into the debate of how much of it has actually happened, what we can see clearly is that state spending on two aspects is necessary where other private partnerships is not easy to depend on. 1. Support infrastructure 2. Subsidy to the underprivileged

Higher education (including professional education), should be financed interest free upto atleast one year after passing the course, irrespective of their parents income, cast & religion. As some parents are not showing their interest to educate their wards even after having money as it may not be their priority. so that at least a needy person may become a good citizen.

sir,i suggest that minimum qualification should be 12 for anyone who wants to work in any field..even to become a vendor one should be 12 pass..atleast dis can set a standard for everonre and an aim to study..which will reduce illiteracy rates..

Sir, I also suggest you that fix some standard of fees because sir at the time of admission everybody can not get the admission in government institution because of limited seats and due to this for higher studies or graduation level we have only option is private universities and In our India there are lot of private universities which is only money making. Sir I request you to take the action on this matter.

sir, in India there are so many private deemed universities which are money making and they have affiliation from UGC but they donot have a good facilities related to courses which are going in the universities like labs, faculties and labs and fees of these universities are so much, Sir I want to suggest you that the affiliation from the UGC is given to only those universities which have facilities and research related labs and instruments because of this reason India is lacking in research.

ASK STUDENTS TAKING GRADUATION/POST-GRADUATION FROM GOVT UNIVERSITIES AT SUBSIDISED RATES, BUT JOINING GOVERNMENT, SHOULD PAY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MARKET RATE AND SUBSIDISED RATE OF THEIR EDUCATION : Only upto class 12, government should subsidise education, for all citizens. After class 12, subsidized education (SE) should continue, but it should be made clear that SE is not meant for job seekers in government, but meant only for preparing job creators in private business and enterprises.

Big companies which employ fresh graduates earn big profits by their works can fund the economically weak students. Currently, the companies have access and approach to a fresh pool of graduates from a college. What can be done is, companies should be allowed to approach student for job in a college only if they are ready to fund the proportion of future econ. weak students getting into the college. By this, the expenditure would not be an issue for a poor student who gets in college.

Sirs, Financing higher education is a bit strategic. No dispute that the best of the right candidate should get the seat. As such education loan should be interest free during the tenure of the course and thereafter the interest will depend upon the number of EMI that the candidate opt for. The longer the EMI duration higher the interest would be. Thanks
