Roughly 1% of GDP is spent on higher education as against a target of 1.5%. In the recent years, the state share of expenditure on education has declined as compared to an increase in Central expenditure on education. How can we address the financial resource constraints in higher education?

Placement figures of colleges. Looking at these, parents get ready to burden their kids with loans for higher education. But there is absolutely no accountability in these placement reports and processes. In most colleges, a systematic misinformation campaign has been going on for many years when it comes to placement process and reports. Without accountability here, its useless to think/formulate/try to solve any higher education financing problems.

Education Loan from banks:- 1.Government should be surety as actual needy may not have immovable property, but have talent. 2.Make this scheme online to keep it easy, transparent and hassle free during admission seasons.

At present, all the Scholarship schemes are not really meaningful to the need students. I was a beneficiary of Centre sector scholarship scheme for top class education for SC/ST. Please consider some of my requests for effective and practical implementation of such scheme:-1.Money = all kind of fees+ lodging boarding at market rate(8000/month)+books stationary. 2.transfer the amount directly into bank before the due date. 3.increase income limit 4 lac/yr 4.make the process online entirely

Sir The initiative to start more higher secondary schools is a welcome step.It will be be better if those higher secondary schools in rural areas are vocational higher secondary schools whereby students can learn a vocation while they study. This will help them to find earnings and can fund their college education.

Modiji had in many occationed mentioned that Crores of invaluable forein exchange is spent by students going to forein universities for for further studies. The opportunities in India in the best of institution is limited and all the best universities world over should be invited to start their universities in India either directly or in collaboration with Corporates in India so that the students insted of going abroad we can get students from foreign countries to study here.

is it possible to hypothicate/ mortgage a qualification certificate to say a bank. Like on a vehicle's registration card it is written hypothicated to xyz bank and no one can sell such vehicle without financer's NOC. if similar noting is done on certificate/degree of a student who has taken education loan, it can be made mandatory for both employer and the employee to route salary through the financing bank thereby reducing risk of default reduction of interest on education loan.

Higher education definitely needs to be sufficiently funded. However, it needs to be ensured that the fund is properly managed and used efficiently for the right purpose. One “Central Fund Utilization Cell” must encourage utility of the fund and ensure implementation of the project. It needs to be ensured that every department/section receives that fund that was originally allocated for the same.
