Roughly 1% of GDP is spent on higher education as against a target of 1.5%. In the recent years, the state share of expenditure on education has declined as compared to an increase ...
YES! WE NEED TO MAKE MAX UTILIZATION OF SCARCE RESOURCES LIKE SCHOOLS & COLLEGE CAMPUSES LAND & BUILDINGS AS NUMBER OF STUDENTS IS REALLY HUGE. THESE RESOURCES ARE UTILIZED FOR ONLY 5-7 HOURS A DAY & LYING IDLE FOR 15-20 HOURS. 2 DAY & NIGHT SHIFTS FOR LABS, SCHOOLS & COLLEGES WILL PROVIDE FACILITIES TO DOUBLE THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS! STUDENTS IN DELHI WHO DO NOT GET ADMISSION IN REGULAR DAY CLASSES ARE FORCED TO STUDENT IN SCHOOL OF OPEN LEARNING! THIS NEEDS TO BE PURSUED SERIOUSLY.
When it comes to financing higher education i mean post Ph.D projects, please have a fool proof method of judiging which projects to fund. i feel that if theres just a word anti cancer sometimes the funds get sanctioned. And manytimes innovative ideas when presented to a committee get stolen too. there should be more web based forums and protection to intellectual property.
essential of financing in H. E. with preferencial in Teacher Edu is must. for quality enhancement and Competant teacher are make competant citizens.. give money to teacher edu and stop Modern Slovery..
Creating more IIT/IIM for the political purpose of it not going to solve the problem.Promoting research and spending same or more amount that is spent on building new campus on Promoting research in collages would enable us to build India.
Also the financing of collage should not be a factor for Any one as income of parent should not decide the future of an Individual and government should create polices that a student is comfortable financing their education comfortably
sir first thing in educational policy should be abolishing the reservation system in education.. this ill help lot of students working hard a new life and a vision in life..and secondly our curriculum need to change rather than studying 7 subjects which a student never usese them in life to more specific intresteing courses prefered by the student.. if a student prefers to be a mechanic, so be it, let him start preparing himself from school rather than waiting till 24 where he;d have lost intres
we want our Budget be people friendly and middle class loved. We want the exmption limit on Incoemtax be raised to 5 lakhs and thereafter 30% of tax in slabs, abolition of all other taxes, reduction of service tax to 5%,abolition of subsidies on Kerosene oil,Deposit of subsidy amounts in PMJDY accounts of poor, middle class.Poor and middle class are main voters of BJP and they need help of Govt.Transfer of all subsidy on foods fertilisers and fuels in bank accounts.Middle class be respected loved
Financing higher education can be done by allowing student assistantship. This way student can earn some stipend as well fill shortage of faculty in colleges. This is followed in most part of the west. allow policy of open courseware this will help reduce reduction of cost of his or her education. http://ocw.mit.edu/index.htm Allow People who involve themselves in self study to do practical(paid)part during night or on holidays when lab are closed. why not run educational institute in 24*7 mode
Dear Sir,
Please start to connect any two rivers .... people hoping this from this government.
Pl invite international colleges and Top US universities to India. This will shift many rich and intelligent Indians from IITs/IIms towards those colleges . vacating the seats in IIT/IIM, Govt colleges for needy and intelligent. Contact all top universities in the world for setting their one branch in India and see that Indian colleges will also perform. Allow loans in abaunadnce to all these students without any mortgage and see the results
The common constitutional mandate to the Union and State governments to cater the educational needs of the citizens of the country has gone in wrong directions. The central govt keeps providing of funds to the states for running their schools and programmes but they have failed miserably to maintain a level of education or their institutions everywhere. Mushrooming of the private schools aslo making profits out of public walfares. Regulatory bodies are ineffective. Overhauling is required .
