The digital space has witnessed major transformations in the last couple of years and as per industry experts would continue to evolve itself. The latest entrant to the digital space is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can also be defined as interplay for software, telecom and electronic hardware industry and promises to offer tremendous opportunities for many industries.

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the number of connected sensors soon will reach trillions, working with billions of intelligent systems involving in-numerous applications will drive new consumer and business behaviour. The demand for increasingly intelligent industry solutions based on IoT will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IoT.

One of the top most initiatives in the form of Digital India Program of the Government which aims at ‘transforming India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy’, is expected to provide the required impetus for development of the IoT industry ecosystem in the country.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology,(DeiTY) has come out with a draft IOT Policy document which focuses on following objectives:

i. To create an IoT industry in India of USD 15 billion by 2020. It has been assumed that India would have a share of 5-6% of global IoT industry.

ii. To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets.

iii. To undertake Research & development for all the assisting technologies.

iv. To develop IoT products specific to Indian needs in all possible domains.

The Policy framework of the IoT Policy has been proposed to be implemented via a multi-pillar approach. The approach comprises of five vertical pillars (Demonstration Centres, Capacity Building & Incubation, R&D and Innovation, Incentives and Engagements, Human Resource Development) and 2 horizontal supports (Standards & Governance structure).

POPULATION is needs to be controlled right now.It is because of population we are still a developing nation whose more than a quarter of people are still in poverty despite crores of money being funded evry year.Due to population we lose accountablity, the quality to life, basic amenities to everyone and over usage of resources which are already scarce to the whole world itself.Because of population corruption rises, quality of education becomes unnaffoardable to everyone i.e. its a compromise

Happy Diwali to all...Everyday around us we see problems some old and existing ones, some new but we don't even think about the one ones which will be created in the near future from what we are pursuing now.We can chat, discuss and debate on every problem but no one is even talking about the mother of all problems, from which evry old,new and yet uninvented problems are related, whatever sector, buisness or mode be evry problem is arising from one i.e "POPULATION".

Dear sir, first of all good going (y) I have some plan so that stolen mobile and tab will be recover easily. if police and govt dept will work on that seriously its very easy we can block those mobile by detecting them by IMEI number only and we need only a data base of stolen mobile number of all India which will solve our problem and after that no one is going to use that mobile and those mobile number are useless. even we can work on it and make it robust. thank you

The Unique VIN Number should be made chip based so that the vehicle can be tracked anywhere to prevent theft. Similar to the Apple Computer systems which can be immobilised and tracked remotely. (4) Car Mfrs.can also use GPS devices on their entry keys to achieve a similar result. Erroneous driving practices e.g. speeding, jumping signal etc can be tracked and penalties imposed automatically through the software - (5). Number plates should be made smart & interlocked with the VIN numbers ...

Dear Prime Minister Sir - why is Subrata Sahara being victimised?? He has been languishing in jail since March and is ready to pay Rs 5k crs against bail he should be let out/placed under house arrest. In stark comparison there are others who roam free despite having done all sorts of unethical things - non payment of salaries/transfer of assets and money etc. No action is being taken here.

A few ideas to reduce road / public transport fatalities. (1) Interlock breath analyser with the ignition - this is already available in some Public Transport systems overseas. If the alcohol content is beyond the threshold the transport does not start. (2).Smart Chip Cards (with telematic / transponders) for driving licence - which are interlocked with the ignition. Similar to the wireless car keys (3). Track these smart licences for over-speeding, wrong entry points, jumping signals -continued
