A large number of tribal people and other forest dwellers derive their source of livelihood from the collection and marketing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) which provides them ...
Basic education to these communities is must. English speaking / writing / reading is must. We need to teach them basic fundamental of International marketing. The export laws must be beneficial to these Communities. These people must market there products there own , rather then marketing through someone. Rest they will manage.
A coy should be given contract who will do the following:
1. collection of product from tribal
2. pay them as per govt. rate (confirmation through mobile app)
3. Nice packing for National and International Level
4. Marketing (mobile apps, etc.), and distribution
Sir,
Please provide a safe system of logistics from the production unit to the marketing place, by eliminating brokers so that people get to know the real market value and advantages of the products and tribal ppl get an exposure to the outside world, Even we can promote the genuinety of these products in the social media and in e-commerce business also, so that we bring lot of other business domains in to a single value added window.. and also this will be an example of integrated INDIA...
No Skill can be neglected. We can post volunteers in such areas to work with these people , provide the minimum facilities of Shed , equipments & any other things which may be not accessible to them in that area. Carry their finished products by providing transportation facility and the payment can be done either in cash or by providing them the monthly food items , cloths & basic needs . If market place is close we can provide them the freedom for marketing by providing them with 2 wheelers.
1. Make a catalogue of products available through tribals. This can be done through closest Post office staff or co-operative stores 2. Make these products available on line on the companies like amazon, flip kart 3. Deliveries can be made through Indian postal service to customers and payment too.
sir,
I believe if you make a group of 6 or 5 members in every village then ask them to promote and plan for marketing also provide some money according to theirs work. I think this makes possible to develop the village and also India. Because in village young people are looking for opportunity and this is one of the most effective way to provide job.
thank you.
1. Apply standardization. And improve the quality of the products.
2. Good branding and promotion.
3. People must be made aware of the usefulness of these products.
There can be Fairs for Indian products organised in Foreign nations / there can shops in foreign nations where people can buy Indian products / there can be a portal like flipkart for online sales where people from world can buy Indian products this will attract foreigners to our country and culture which indirectly promotes Indian products and tourism.
Govt. can help by setting up retail counters at various govt. premises like railway station and airports. These should be directly purchased by the govt. enterprises from the forest produce makers. This way, there can be a proper marketing and a balanced cultural development.
Minor forest produce can be made in the village area or near the forest areas. People have no idea about the profitability of the forest, as because of lack of knowledge about the market. If Govt. take some valuable step to communicate the people about the profitability of the business then this can be possible. Note that I have written "communicate with the people". Communicate not through the paper or media advertise. Here communicate is effective only through the Panchayat Samiti.
