Taking serious note of the latest decision of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), the Chandigarh Administration has speed up the enforcement of ban imposed on the use of polythene ...
Dear sir,
Plastic should be used for packing only to preserve or protect the content inside.need adequate plastic to preserve the quality. not for showcase, good looking this will eliminate 50% plastic use. e.g. 4 soap offer contains soap packing also and extra packing for 4 soaps. is that required. oil jar has corrugated with plastic box.If you see in the mall you will plastic is majorly using for good looking and showcasing. purpose of plastic shouldbe only for preserving what it contains.
#Ban,#MyGov - Self governance is more important than Total governance. If we are not convinced of the evils of plastic, all the measures will fail. All of us should first visualise how do we want our children to find the world after 20/30/50 years and then everything will fall into place.Carrying cloth bags and little planning/self-discipline is an easy option to turn this around. Or else, there is no amount of control or surveillance which can make this succeed!
Ban will not succeed if there will be no other choice for public
We should First Provide public with a better option instead of poly bags..it should be cheap and easily available...and eco friendly also.We should raise awareness against the use of plastic bags and all stuffs.Chandigarh will then A Better Chandigarh....
large production of jute or cotton badges will help and should hike the rates of plastics, only recyclable plastic should be allowed to manufacture. A movement should be started where people should be advised to carry non plastic badges to shops. cotton covers or jute cover manufacturing industry's should be set up near the places where they are grown.
#ban I think more people using more plastics carry bags becuse its very cheap.if we increase tax on this it reduce use of plastic and also improve govt income .

Sir we should draft such hard laws that should discourage the mfg of such items impose imprisionment no penalty if penalty clause to b added thn it should b very heavy.stop giving mfg nd trading lic.for such items.put thm in banned category. Promote paper bags plates mfg.by giving tax nd othr realted benefits but for some limited time frame keeping in mind this may giv employment to masses. Law should do its job there should not b any appeal facility.implement it with force.
I am Arun Gupta from Chitrakoot which is merely a city but someday will be a smart city, but the first step towards that is to make India plastic free. This could be done by using biodegradable carry bags like paper bags not plastic carry bags which are the most common type of pullutants. And as we know paper comes from trees so we have to keep this point in mind that paper bags are good as far as we can recycle papers that are already existing in India.Promote paper bag by saying no to plastic bag
I am from Deoghar, jharkhand. Plastic bags are spoiling our nature and we are recycling plastic but in not that quantity how much it's generated. We should stop using plastic nd cotton bags are more good than plastic people should carry cotton bags when they shop shopkeeper 'll use paper bags to give the product and than cotton bags can be used for more comfortable and efficiency.
