In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

To read the abstract of Open API Policy please refer the following URL: https://static.mygov.in/static/s3fs-public/Draft_Policy%20on%20Open%20AP...

Last date for sending your suggestions is 10th November 2014.

What I understand by this OAPI is that one one web program can connect to other to use it's utility like when we read something somewhere and immediately find a button to share it on FB, the site is using FB's OAPI. Also if we go on a mobile phone service provider's site to pay our phone bill and we get an option from there to use our bank's site.. Our bank has provided its OAPI to the mobile service. Am I Right? If so what is the govt thinking to do? How is they are trying to relate it?

Cancer treatment is a very major problem in india and the world , in fact what we have , is highly expensive. a great man called Late Rajiv Dixit had researched on a very efficient way of fighting cancer .HE claimed that he treated lots of people with his ayurvedic remedies and was successful in almost 95 % cases. I suggest we all shoould promote that methood , especially in hospitals in rural locations . please go to youtube and search "Rajiv Dixit on cancer treatment " and know it.!! ♥

Hi Sir .. This is regarding diwali .. on this day news papers report that pollution level goes up due to crackers .. My thinking is we have to research on this a bit so that we can use it as mosquito repellent (Same as DDT Smoke) so at least we will get rid of mosquitoes or any other harmful insects or any other way to turn this smoke to use full one.

Hello Sir .. Swatch Bharat is good initiative but even state govt has to be co-operative. We have pile of garbage (Bangalore-16 Sadananda Gowda constituency) laying around but local authorities are not even bothered or there is garbage disposal problem. I guess we need to have efficient disposal system as well. I also agree even we contribute for such problem but not segregating garbage. I dont have permanent fix but educating citizens will create some awareness. .. Thanks for your initiative

Internet should be free so that anyone has access to it and stay updated about govt policies, their rights etc. I would really like to see BSNL providing 3G internet on low or free of cost.
