In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

To read the abstract of Open API Policy please refer the following URL: https://static.mygov.in/static/s3fs-public/Draft_Policy%20on%20Open%20AP...

Last date for sending your suggestions is 10th November 2014.

Why Skype service is being banned in our country starting Nov/ 2014? You can't make a call from Skype to any Indian cell phone or land line. Is the Govt doing it to benefit big telecom companies? Please do not ban such services. I don't understand what are the benefits of banning such services other than benefiting big companies.

Dear sir Fundamental education is very poor, that should develop from the school level education. Part of curriculum skilled interested students can go and teach for rural students. If they produced good result appreciation award might be given. Our human resources are not taken to proper direction. All basic needs must teach apart from science, maths, English and mother tongue. like society needs discipline. About traffic signals, bank forms, basic whistle blow character.

R/Sir I think every thing must be unique, just like PAN no,DL no,VOTER ID.So please do a single person belongs single Saving or Current Bank Account. In this case no black money stored in home or any where. But people must try to invest their black money in land or gold.If we control the purchase of land and gold by a different and strong law,we should control our poverty of nation.I know it's not so easy but lets try.

Rather than having so many "cards" as documents, we should use only one card i.e. AADHAR card for every reference of Indian Citizen. The same number should be used for all of his/her documents like Driving License, PF Number, PAN, Voter and Ration Card, Bank Account Number and even Passport. This will simplify the management of data and hence digitization to a very large extent. As data will be available quickly with this step, the Govt. can come up with new development projects very fast.

Dear Sir, There should be some website where all can see the development work progress on regular basis. For an example; highway status, metro rail projects updates etc.

India has great potential for rail tourism. It has already got one of the largest railway infrastructures in the world. Making use of this existing infrastructure, rail tourism can be promoted in the entire country in a large way. It can also boost the economy immensely. Besides, rail tourism is environment friendly. It can promote ecotourism reducing carbon footprint. We have some ideas which we would like to share with you. Looking forward to meet you and discuss further. 91-9650218632

Wanted to share that following up on our beloved PM's vision, we have contributed in a small way by felicitating our children's teachers on Diwali by gifting each teacher, toiletries made by Khadi Gram Uhyog.
