In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

To read the abstract of Open API Policy please refer the following URL: https://static.mygov.in/static/s3fs-public/Draft_Policy%20on%20Open%20AP...

Last date for sending your suggestions is 10th November 2014.

My suggestion to use digital technology to control immigration from neibouring countries by using system like adhaar cards..make adhaar mandatory any other similar cards for all citizens and fix cut oof date to cover entire country thereafter issue adhaar to new borns if the parents is already having...though it becomes difficult to isolate who have already entered at least it privents the new entries. The one don't have smilar cards can be quarantined and can be sent back.

Please make a plan to reach the Nationalized Bank at every Tahsil & Distict place of India. Please do mandatory the Green Channel Counter ( GCC) currently working in State Bank India only in All Nationalized bank. Which improves the speed of work, save paper, which helps to Go Green.

The Income tax department and other revenue department should start the assessment procedures through emails, so that no officer will come to know personally the assesses and everything will be on record and corruption will decrease to some extent and it has been done in ministry of corporate affairs department. so hope something like happen in the other departments soon. to lower the corruption in our country. JAI HIND!!!!

The government websites should be implemented properly and completely. Simple, Pune municipal corporation website has facility to create a complaint, but no sms or email is sent for the registered complaint number. We have to remember that. Many time, we fill the data on these web sites, but some or the other reasons, we have to take the printouts and go to the respective office to submit it. Why the systems are implemented partially. Why we need printouts when we already have issue of trees.

All government officers should be made properly trained (either through MSCIT or other) for using computer. Currently, good computers are there in all departments, but people operating those computers are either not properly trained or not ready to learn new things. Rather they are using these systems as reasons not to do any work, like in bank "printer is not working", "systems are down", and so on. No government office have proper place and infrastructure to keep computers and maintain them.

The Government should set up digital class rooms in each village to make quality education cheaper. Each class room should be connected to a central location and a qualified team of teachers at the central location can cater to 1000s of villages simultaneously.A national digital library should be set up with access to the students and instead of paper books students should read ebooks.
