In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

Honorable Narendrabhai: My 5th MBK is regarding the safety of pedestrians in towns (semi rural area). In a typical town there are no footpaths for pedestrians. Pedestrians generally walk on the side strips of roads. But when cattle come from front, pedestrian has to move from side strip to main road as cattle prefer to walk on side strips of road. Pedestrian is now dangerously exposed to speeding vehicles. Please do something to provide safety for pedestrians in towns.

Honorable Narendrabhai: My 4th MKB (i.e., Man Ki Baat)is regarding the mode of sending the suggestions to program “Man Ki Baat.” There should be provision to accept the suggestions for “Man Ki Baat” from people by SMS from mobile. Today, mobile is ubiquitous and it would be very convenient for people of India to send suggestions by SMS. Kindly provide a mobile number for sending the suggestions for MKB.

Honorable Narendrabhai: My 3rd MKB is regarding“Jan Dhan” scheme. In rural India, women save the money for emergencies and now they will deposit this money in their bank accounts. But their drunkard husbands will browse their passbooks and then will harass them for money. Please make some provision so that women can place their passbooks in the custody of bank, securely. This passbook should be made available to her after her request and showing some id-proof like Voter’s Card or Aadhar Card.

Congrats PM for being selected in the forbes list of powerful people of 2014. But i felt extremely disappointed the way, they have described you as " A Hindu nationalist allegedly responsible for encouraging and allowing communal violence and sectarianism in the Gujarat riots in 2002 ". Link:-http://www.forbes.com/profile/narendra-modi/ I urge BJP to take a action against this.

Honorable Narendrabhai: My 2nd MKB is regarding your appeal to buy Khadi Garments. Many people don't know names and addresses of authentic Khadi Retailers. Some fraudulent cloth retailers given mill-garments to customers when asked for khadi-garments. Ordinary person cannot verify the authenticity of khadi-garments. Kindly see to it that names and addresses of Authentic Khadi Retailers are published in local newspapers.

Honorable Narendrabhai: My first “Man Ki Baat” to you is regarding my experience with your “Clean India” program. I find people are now more conscious about cleanliness. They use dust bins and “Kachara Kundis” for dispensing the trash. I am grateful to you for making people of India aware of importance of cleanliness.
