In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

Dear Prime Ministerji, I am a simple school teacher. One year before I had bought a product from yepme.com (online), but they have cheated me. I have submitted a complain through online in www.core.nic.in on 17 Sep, 2014. But till now status shown that "under processing". I am busy with my works. I have no time to go through the court and anywhere. There have some procedure to lodge complain through online, for this I have done this. Why I should not avail this system? Pl do something.

Dear Sir, First make UID a compulsion for every citizen. But first we have to provide dedicated places for UID enrollment rather than doing camps for enrollment. The day every Indian will have a unique no. that day onward we can implement all other digital platforms and dream for a proper digital India. That UID no. of a citizen will be linked to every aspect of the system e.g. Bank account, driving license , passport, voters id. That time one number will be enough to track a persons activity.

FTA channels from Prasar Bharati are mandatory for all cable and dth operators. So let's make something like http://www.comigo.com/.Let's make Set-top-box or Indian OS based on Linux(FOSS).This OS must be mandatory for all cable and dth set-top-boxes who are operating in India. All homes+rural areas will get connected to same network. So poor peoples do not have to buy PC.& Gov. can also provide free internet by putting advertisement banner in that OS.Net will be free and Gov will generate revenue

Drawing on the inspirational research done by Dr. Sugata Mitra on self-teaching, why don't we formally make (may be) senior kids teach their junior counterparts in schools as far as really basic computing and Internet skills are concerned to overcome shortage of teachers. It is interesting to watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk60sYrU2RU

All API owning departments should be required to maintain a third-party auditable and mandatory database of all permissions granted date and to whom. All departments should adhere to a national Privacy Policy. And third and perhaps the most important, a mandatory training program should be created for all government servants, bureaucrats and politicians on Interpretation, Implementation and the Use of Privacy Policy in 21st Century with an element of continuous professional development built in.

Political parties should be made to give account of their achievements once a year to the Election Commission who should make it public. Much like companies that file their Annual Report on Stock Exchange. They should be required to file their real achievements and compare them with their own election promises to voters. If they are falling short then they need to give a reason why, to the citizens. The EC can then publish Summary Findings that will help voters understand the real performance.

I would also suggest to decrease the fine amount for simple mistake (like not having insurance paper) so that normal individual can easily ask for receipt of bill and they can pay the fine easily. If all the fine taken by RTO officer directly move to government account, this would reduce burden of paying salaries to them only or else we can use that amount for other development process.

As we all know RTO department are only to get bribe from all illegal or legal vehicle owner because of their silly mistake. I think crores of rupees get collected as bribe by RTO officers every year. In order to prevent this issue, every checking location of police must be fix and that also in front of CCTV cameras. I would suggest there should be separate cameras must be present in each big shot officer’s cabin and office room by which we can easily trace what they do in their normal routing.
