Indian National Defence University Bill, 2015 proposes to establish a world class fully autonomous institution of National Importance under Ministry of Defence. University will ...
Good initiative, but in this university, efforts made for PBOR participation or admission, courses are also made for them also, gave them equal say with Officers, not make this University only for officers upliftmen. Thank you
Great idea, I would like to see the jurisdiction of the university extend to offer single courses or electives that students of other university may take. The other universities should be mandated to accept credits from the INDU.
Visionary Proposal. Should be Implemented. Would immensely enhance India's Military, Strategic and Diplomatic preparedness; AND groom future Generals, Commanders, Strategists, Security Experts, Bureaucrats & Foreign Affairs Diplomats.
Another critically important sector is Defence Technology. India imports 70% of Defence requirement. INDU envisions its own "School of Defence Technology"; Good, but Inadequate! We actually need a "Joint Strategic Science & Technology Academy". Pls read attachment
excellent idea! #please keep this university only merit based.#let the values and ethics be an integral part of the curricullum #let there be a rule that anybody who studies here, must work with the Indian Defence in some way for atleast ten years! #let every corporate who operates in INdia with a threshold turnover and above, pick up the financial costs of a fixed number of students so that studying is subsidized but not at the Govt cost!
i believe that the university must emphasize on strategic conceptual level discourse on how to project india jointly rather than only being a tactical defence forces. They must integrate the defence related knowledge of the officers with important geopolitical and economic aspects of the world affairs. some emphasis must also be given on jointmanship in the three services by way of conceptual discourse materialising into concrete government policy instead of just an academic pursuit.
I think every student in university must good in Hindi and one other regional language with having knowledge of original Indian history not written by Englishman or leftist.
He/She is strong enough to compete with any person of world in any field of subject or game.
His/Her only one religion Indian.
Every college student must spend 3 to 6 months of his college time in this university. During this period, he must undergo some compulsory military training which will instill a sense of responsibility and discipline in the youth. Alternately the student must do some social work like working in an old-age home, hospital, etc.
Proposed 44 clause which read as
44. (1) The University shall, in discharge of its functions
under this Act, be bound by such directions on questions
of policy as the Central Government may give in writing to
it from time to time.
(2) The decision of the lGovernmen as to whether
a question is one of policy will be final
This clause will kill autonomy of institution which is so critical for such institution and will be run effectively by the defence ministry bureaucracy
I feel that there is a need for a University which focuses on Indian National Defense, but with that in mind I would like to emphasis, that the main focus of the University must on practical aspects rather than theoretical aspects as it is happening in other Universities in our country. And the students while completing their education must work towards the development of the projects that are currently under development, so they learn somethings while contributing towards development of India.
It is about time that we thinking of strengthing the Indian Defence Mechanism in such a way.We are no proceeding towards globalisation with such a fast pace that just mere improvising of the retail or economic sector wont suffice a strong country is made by strong defence forces. We have seen the ways successful candidates after finishing training leave the academy because we are lacking somewhere to attract the youth the policies and mechanism in place to train them is old and we have to better
